Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Estella Mae Sampson, who passed away on March 25, 2018, will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 a. m. at Revealing Truth Ministries, 5201 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FL, Pas- tor Bryan Powe, Senior Pastor, with Pastor Lamar Mills, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edward “Monty” “Shorty” Sampson; mother, Nellie Mae Lard; father, Junius Lofton; son, Jerome (Sterling) Sampson; grand-daughter, RaShonda Smith and great-grandson, RaShon Bailey.
Estella leaves to cherish fond memories of her with: 5 children, Edward “Pop” Sampson, Jr., William Sampson, Johnny Samp- son, Gloria “Jean” Smith (Larry) and Kenneth Sampson (Gina), all of Tampa, FL; 12 grandchildren, Selina Walker (Terrence) of Sanford, FL, Catrina Westbrooks (Danny), Ed- ward Sampson, III, Lisa Sampson, LaKeshia Smith, Brianna Smith (Damon), Kendrick Smith, Jamar Smith, all of Tampa, Vickie Love (Jawon) of Killeen, TX, Nigel Samp- son, Kenneth “K. Westbrooks, Ja’Leah Love of Killeen, TX and Mar’Kia Palmer; brother, Willie Lee Lard (Darlene) of Belle Haven, VA; 2 cousins, Lau- radine Jones, of Atlanta, GA and De- loris Belvin of Ocala, FL; dear friends, Edwina “Kitty” Sheppard, Alphonso Thompson and wife of Tampa, Annie Joyce Hemmingway and Louise Brown, and other beloved family members, loved ones and neighbors.
Estella Sampson was born on December 20, 1934 in Tallahassee, FL, to the parentage of Junius Lofton and Nellie Mae Lard. Estella studied and received her education through the Leon County Education System.
While residing in Tallahassee, Estella married Mr. Edward Samp- son and gave birth to two children. The Sampson family then relocated to Tampa, and this is where Mrs. Sampson gave birth to 3 additional children. In 1953, the Sampson fam- ily then moved to Belle Haven, VA for a brief stay before returning to Tampa, FL.
Mrs. Sampson was employed with Hillsborough County for nu- merous years before retiring in 2005. Her hobbies included cooking and spending time with her family, watching wrestling on television, visiting and watching Derby Lane racing and enjoying time at Jai Alai and local Casinos.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, April 6, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, from 5–8 p. m.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approxi- mately 10:45 a.m. for the service.

Juanita Chester Ford of St. Pe- tersburg passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. Born in Tampa, she was a graduate of the 1963 Class of Blake High School in Tampa. She re- tired from GTE Florida (Verizon).
Friends and family are invited to Lawson Funeral Home, 4535 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, FL 33713, for a memorial program on Saturday, April 7th at 11 a. m. Please wear colors rather than black to the celebration.
