Man With Gun, 800 Bullets Taken Into Custody
A 43-year-old man was taken into custody last week and charged with reckless display of a firearm and carrying a con- cealed handcuff key. A joint in- vestigation led police to several guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Antonio Gillem Kujawski was in possession of a gun and observed acting erratically while in the 10000 block of N. Florida Avenue. When Tampa Police ap- proached him, he was parked outside of a methadone clinic. The officers observed several guns and approximately 800 rounds of ammunition in the car with him.
They also found zip ties, ie tie cutters, a bulletproof vest, a handcuff key, and several knives. He was arrested and then taken to a mental health facility for evaluation.
On Thursday, while he was in custody at the Falkenburg Jail, police obtained a Risk Pro- tecti9on Order. Kujawski had also made statements to a deten- tion deputy with the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office that he had additional guns at his residence in Tampa and at the home of a relative in Gibsonton.
Investigators obtained two search warrants and executed them at the two locations. They

recovered 28 handguns and long guns in addition to thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Sheriff Chad Chronister
said, “I’m extremely grateful for the men and women of the Tampa Police Department and the everyday partnership we share in keeping our community safe.
“Fortunately, because of our Red Flag Law, a tragedy more than likely has been prevented, and this individual has an op- portunity to get the help he needs.”
Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said, “It’s important that we took these guns out of the hands of Antonio Kujawski while he gets help. Collaborating with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in any case is es- sential to helping law enforce- ment keep our communities safe for all.”
