Miss Juneteenth Pageant Slated For June 19th
In spite of the set back with the Coronavirus Pan- demic, the Tampa Bay June- teenth Coalition Board is still pressing forward with Cele- brations.
The Annual Worldwide raising of the Juneteenth Flag was on June 1st in West Tampa on Main Street.
A Virtual "Miss June- teenth" pageant will be held on June 19th at 6 p. m. Chan- nel 8 News reporter Rod Carter will host the pag- eant. The other celebrations are postponed until further notice. They include a June- teenth play, a banquet, gospel explosion and com- munity festival.
The current Queens are 2020 "Miss Juneteenth," Samantha Underwood and "Jr. Miss Juneteenth," Delilah Tolbert.
