Cowboys Reportedly Not Giving Up On Signing Ezekiel Elliott Before Week 1
EZEKIEL ELLIOTT
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has spoken this week like a team owner who understands he will be with- out one of his best players for at least a portion of the regu- lar season, but that is likely just his way of trying to main- tain leverage in contract nego- tiations.
Ezekiel Elliott has yet to report to the Cowboys, and Jones said after Thursday’s preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he accepts the running back will not be playing for the team in Week 1 and potentially beyond that. However, the Cowboys have privately not given up hope that Zeke will be in the building in time for Week 1.
Knicks' RJ Barrett Signs Multi-Year Shoe Deal With Puma
RJ BARRETT
Just a little more than a year after announcing it was getting back into the basket- ball game, PUMA has now added New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett to the mix.
The athletic apparel com- pany came up with a very cre- ative way to reveal the partnership, unveiling a mural next to a new store location in New York City.
That’s a pretty cool way to go public with the agreement.

  Be Allowed At Browns
Facility During
 Eight-Game Suspension
The Cleveland Browns wanted running back Ka- reem Hunt to be allowed in their facility during his eight- game suspension, but the NFL won’t allow it.
Multiple reports includ- ing the Cleveland Plain Dealer said the NFL told the Browns that Hunt can’t be at the team facility during the suspension. Hunt was suspended eight games for an incident in which he shoved and kicked a woman. That incident is what led to his release from the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Browns knew they wouldn’t have Hunt on the

field for eight games, but told the NFL they wanted to be able to support him instead of having him be on his own for two months.
  Ex-Teammate: ‘Zero
Chance’ Trent
Williams Reports To
 Redskins For Week 1
The Washington Red- skins are doing everything they can to create the im- pression that there are no major issues between Trent Williams and the team, but it is clear the All-Pro offen- sive tackle does not feel the same way.
Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has said several times that he does not expect Trent Williams to be traded, and president Bruce Allen confirmed that this week by saying Williams is “gonna play football” and “it’ll be with us.” While that may happen at some point in 2019, one of Williams’ for- mer teammates says it won’t be in Week 1.
Former Washington cor- nerback D’Angelo Hall, who co-hosts the “Hail to the
TRENT WILLIAMS
Podcast” with Erin Hawksworth, said he spoke with Williams about his ongoing holdout. What Williams told his former teammate is that there is “zero chance I’ll be in that building” in advance of the season opener a week from Sunday.
