Public Affairs Coordinator Tampa, FL
LifeLink Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of life-saving and life-enhancing organs and tissue for transplantation therapy.
Primary responsibility is to function as a public educator within the designated service area by establishing positive community relationships; facilitate and implement activities, events and programs related to organ donor registration initiatives and community outreach to multicultural audiences.
Assist with development and analyzation of a communication plan for the assigned division; coordinate the volunteer program to include recruitment, training, utilization and recognition. Maintain positive community relationships to result in public education opportunities and partnerships to increase the profile of LifeLink and organ and tissue donation. Coordinate and participate in public education activities, including public speaking presentations, health fairs, networking opportunities and other events. Act as production coordinator on various materials, graphic design, print and video projects relating to annual or other public affairs plans.
Knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a four-year college program preferably in health-care related public relations and/or marketing. Must have the ability to apply sound judgment, have demonstrated presentation skills and volunteer coordination skills. Requires ability to meet deadlines and be detailed oriented. Must have, reliable vehicle with good driving record. Working knowledge of In Design or other graphics software desired.
