Organizations Unite To Support School
Each August at the begin- ning of the school year, organ- izations throughout the country attempt to help un- derprivileged children with needed supplies.
And, this year was no ex- ception for two local organiza- tions. In fact, for the past three years, the Tampa Bay/West Central Florida Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. have satis- fied their Literacy Project re- quirement by donating requested school supplies to Metropolitan Ministry Ele- mentary School.
However, Top Ladies of Distinction were provided an opportunity to expand their assistance through a partnership with Kelly Serv- ices, Inc.
As a result of this partner- ship, the two organizations were able to increase their supplies and have a greater impact on accomplishing their respective goals.
An array of school supplies was enthusiastically donated to the “new” Patricia Sullivan (Metropolitan Ministries) El- ementary School, 2202 North Florida Avenue.
Top Ladies of Distinc- tion, Inc., is a non-profit, educational, humanitarian, internationally known and re- spected public service organi- zation. Since its inception, it has expanded its objectives to include its focus on youth
(known as Top Teens of America), improving the sta- tus of women, service to sen- ior citizens, community beautification and community partnerships.
Chapters nationwide sup- port the NCNW, the NAACP, UNCF, Sickle Cell Disease
Awareness, and the awarding of scholarships.
