Appears To Irk 49ers' Richard Sherman

Florida native and star Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey bought a brand new mansion in Fort Lauderdale for $5.4 million, according to county records.
The 7,000-square-foot home sits on a 10,500- square-foot lot along the water.
The 3-story home has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two half bathrooms, an eleva- tor, smart home technology, a pool/spa, a dock, and a rooftop terrace.
Pouncey has been named a first-team All-Pro twice and a second-team All- Pro three times. He has made the Pro Bowl eight times since being drafted by the Steelers in 2010. He signed a three- year, $33 million contract ex- tension with the Steelers in
CAM NEWTON
Cam Newton’s reported
signing with the New England Patriots on Sunday drew re- actions from across the NFL, including San Francisco 49ers star Richard Sherman, who appeared perturbed that the former MVP had to sign for the league minimum.
Newton and the Patriots agreed to a one-year deal which will pay the veteran quarterback more than $1 million, according to multiple reports. He reportedly could earn up to $7.5 million in in- centives, according to the NFL Network.
Sherman tweeted that it was “disgusting” for someone
RICHARD SHERMAN like Newton to get paid that
kind of money while some backups are making $3-5 mil- lion this season.
“How many former League MVPs have had to sign for the min? (Asking for a friend.) just ridiculous. A transcendent talent and less talented QBs are getting 15/16m a year. Disgusting,” he wrote.
The same thing happened to Jameis Winston. He went from making $28 mil- lion to $1 million with added incentives that adds up to be $4 million. This is a quarter- back who threw for over 5,000 yards.
VITA VEA
Another key piece to the Bucs defensive front under- went surgery this offseason. This time it was defensive lineman Vita Vea.
Vea had surgery on his hand a couple weeks ago after suffering an undisclosed hand injury.
The procedure is consid- ered minor and Vea won’t have any restrictions by the time the regular season comes around, but he is expected to miss time at the beginning of Bucs’ training camp on July 28th.
This news comes off the heels of Vea’s fellow team- mate Jason Pierre-Paul having arthroscopic knee sur- gery on Friday. Pierre-Paul will be ready for training camp.
Going into his third NFL season, Vea is no stranger to missing some time early on. He suffered a calf injury as a rookie which put him in a boot on the sidelines and held him out for all of training camp and the first three games of the season.
In Vea’s second year, a sprained LCL in early August kept him away for the rest of camp, but he did return for Week 1 of the regular season.
Vea, who has 63 tackles and 5.5 sacks in his career, is a rising star on the Bucs defen- sive line and is expected to have another big year this sea- son.

NBA To Use High-Tech Rings To Help Detect COVID-19
When NBA athletes head back to the court next month, some may be donning new rings -- but not the champi- onship kind.
Players will have the op- tion of wearing titanium rings that can detect possible signs of COVID-19 by meas- uring pulse, breathing rate, and temperature.
The NBA released its safety protocol this month
with details for the upcoming return of the season, which gives a glimpse into what life will be like in the “bubble” -- an enclosed environment in Orlando, FL, where players will stay largely protected from potential infection. They will receive regular COVID-19 tests, along with bracelets that beep when the 6-foot social distancing rule is violated for too long.
