   Harram Temple No. 23, Inc., Prince Hall Shriners Hosts Prayer Breakfast
 Under the leadership of
Noble James C. Holmes Jr., Harram Temple No. 23, Inc., Prince Hall Shriners, held their Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at George E. Hodgins Hall, Tampa. This year’s theme was “Service To All Mankind.”
The guest speaker was
Rev. Dr. Noble James “Leon” Gallon, an estab- lished Baptist minister in Hillsborough County, with over 27 years of Christian ex- perience and a 29-year work history with the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office under the leadership of re- tired Sheriff David Gee.
Harram Temple No. 23, Inc., Prince Hall Shriners, is a non-profit 501(c) (3) or- ganization. Some of the charitable endeavors and programs the Temple is in- volved with are: support to the Educational/Temple Charities, in which they pro- vide school supplies and book bags to students at var- ious schools in the commu- nity; Temple Youth Program, where the Temple participate with Big Broth- ers/Big Sisters, Shriners As Mentors Program (SAM),
National Diabetes Initiative (NDI), the NAACP Voter Ed- ucation/Registration Drives.
The Temple also partici- pates with various volun- teer/community service/charitable programs with the Metropolitan Min- istries, Trinity Café, Commu- nity Outreach for the Homeless; awards seven $500.00 educational schol- arships annually to selected and deserving college/uni- versity bound students, as well as vocational/trade school students to help offset
out of pocket expenses. Members of the Temple also prepare and distribute over 60 holiday food baskets during the holiday season to
those less fortunate individ- uals and families. The Tem- ple continues to maintain a Clothes Closet Distribution program for those in need of

  Senior Connection
  Organization Offers Program For Seniors
 The Senior Connection Center is offering a free 8- week Tai Chai for fall preven- tion. The class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at Fair Oaks Park, 5019 N. 34th Street.
Tai Chi helps reduce pain and ease stress with gentle and flowing movements. The exercises can be done seated or by standing.
The classes will be offered beginning on Monday, March 26th and will end on Wednes- day, May 16th. They will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Mondays. The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until 12 noon.
