MR. SAMMIE SMITH, JR.
Homegoing Services for Mr. Sammie Smith, Jr., who passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Highland Pines, 4711 E. 21st Ave., Tampa, FL 33605, Reverend Cleveland Lane, Eulo- gist. The committal will be made at the church.
Mr. Sammie Smith, Jr. was born and raised in Sanford, Florida. He attended the public schools of Seminole County. Mr. Smith was an excellent mechanic for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Elizabeth Rice-Smith; mother, Eva Williams; and brother, George Duncan.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Robert Rice and Reginald Rice; grand- children, Tazius Jackson and Raven Rice; and a devoted friend and caregiver, Mr. Robert Lee Shackleford “Shack”, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from11a.m.to12:30p.m.atthe church. The processional will as- semble at 12:45 p. m. at the church.

Mr. Willie Arthur Johnson, III, of Tampa, passed away Fri- day, June 2, 2017. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted Saturday, June17th,at2p.m.atRay Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Interment will be held Monday, June 19, at 11 a. m. at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Mr. Willie A. Johnson, III was a native of Tampa and was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1981, where he was a member of the JROTC, (Hillsborough Class of 1980 - 1981), US Army - DAV. Mr. John- son was a Disabled Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, A. D. Mosley, Georgia Mae Mosley, James Carlise, Willie A. Johnson, Sr., and Lacey Campbell; wife, Lor- reta Lynn Johnson; brother, Calvin Johnson; and godmother, Yolanda Canty.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his devoted parents, his mother, Shirley D. and Alphonso Thomas; father, Willie A. John- son, Jr.; sons, Shakeam Johnson and (Taylor), Shream Johnson and Travis Johnson; daughters, Andrianna Harrison and Serina Rogers; brothers, Alvin E. Jones, Jr., Alphonso Thomas, Jr. and (Brenda), Howard Thomas and Albert Thomas; sisters, Per- schelle Williams and Yolanda Thomas; sister-in-law, Tonya Johnson; dedicated family; grandfather, Johnnie L. Celebration of Life for Mr. Thomas James Young, who passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, will be held on Satur- day, June 17th at 11 a. m. at Brown Memorial Church of God In Christ, 2314 E. 27th Avenue, Tampa, with Bishop Matthew Williams, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mr. Thomas James Young was a native of Byromville, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for many years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Felton and Alverna Young; son, Eric Young, Sr.; three brothers and three sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: a loving and de- voted wife of 57 years, Mrs. Lon- nie R. Young; two daughters, Mrs. Harriette Jackson (Gre- gory) and Mrs. Daffie Baker (Ted); one son, Mr. Terald Young (Lawanda); daughter-in- law, Mrs. Gloria Young; grand- children, Tyler and Crystal Jackson, Terrance Riggins, Sr., Ciara and Ted Jr., (Cyretta) Baker, Terrah, Terrell, Ty’rell, Eric, Jr. and Jaylen Young, and Janneice Thompkins; 7 great- grandchildren, Terrance and Xavier Riggins, Reagan Mosley, Ted, III, Corrine, Sarina and Camille Baker; sister, Verna Mae Hill; two brothers, Oscar Young, Sr., and James C. Young; sisters-in-law, Vernell Young, Evelyn Young and Bernice Fedrick; brothers-in-law, James Copland, Leoties Fedrick (Maryann) and John L. Elouise leaves a lifetime of
cherished memories with: her sons, Kenneth W. Hartsfield (Sandra), Reginald L. Buckins (Mae Ola), David Hartsfield and Isaac Buckins; grandchildren, Jerome Buckins, Jr., Kenneth Buckins, Margaret Stenson, An- tonio Brown and Fred McCrary; niece, Sue Robinson; nephews, Dickie Dickins, Billie Dickens, Lorenzo Robinson and George Robinson; cousins, Lillie Mae Wise and Melton Lewis; daugh- ter-in-law, Kay G. Buckins; a host of other relatives and friends.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Ms. Elouise Buckins was born on June 24, 1932. Prior to her retirement she worked at a local Shrimp Plant.
There will be a viewing on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Saturday at approximately 11:45 a. m. for the service.
