Tampa Police are investi- gating an incident Tuesday that left two people nursing gunshot wounds.
At 10:30 a. m., officers were called to the area of 22nd Street and 28th Avenue on a report of shots being fired.
When police arrived at the scene, they were able to deter- mine that Jotavius Henry, 22, and David Joyner, 25, had been shot while standing in the area. Police said a red truck drove north on 22nd Street and someone inside fired shots at a group, striking Henry and Joyner.

A Winter Haven woman is facing charges after Polk County deputies said she knew about the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, but gave a false statement to investiga- tors.
Investigators said Star Tribble, 35, denied fatally shooting her live-in boyfriend of 15 years, Tomorreio Clark, 33, but knew the cir- cumstances behind his death and tried to help get rid of the body.
According to the affidavit, Tribble’s daughter, Dame- cia Stephens, who also lives at the home, found Clark’s body in his home Monday morning around 11:30 a. m.

A Seminole County schools director was arrested after investigators said she shoplifted merchandise from a department store.
Erica Pooler, 37, Direc- tor of the Seminole County Public Schools Office of School Safety and Alternative Placement, was arrested Tuesday night on a retail theft charge.
According to police, Pooler and her niece tried to seal merchandise worth $863.44 from a Kohl’s Store
near Oviedo. A security guard told deputies he saw the two hide mer- chandise as they walked through the store.

Henry and Joyner had left in two different cars. Both ar- rived at a local hospital and their injuries are considered minor and non-life threaten- ing.
Police said both the vic- tims and witnesses have not been cooperating with the in- vestigation.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on February 22nd at 11 p. m., Tyee Spike, 13, entered Dim- ple’s Playland Childcare, 7445 12th Avenue, South, through an unsecured window and re- moved several sets of vehicle keys.
Deputies said Spike then removed a white Ford E350 passenger van from the prop- erty and fled from police when they tried to initiate a traffic stop.
Deputies said Spike at- tempted to use the stolen van to commit another burglary at Cell Tech, 7802 Rideout Road, but he was interrupted by the owners and fled on foot. He reportedly returned to Dimple’s Playland Child- care and stole a second van.
Deputies spotted the van and attempted a traffic stop, but Spike refused to stop. Later, the stolen vehicle was spotted by Florida Highway Patrol units who tried to con- duct a traffic stop, but again Spike refused to stop. A short distance later, Spike lost con- trol of the vehicle and crashed at 78th Street and Madison Av- enue.
Spike fled from the crash scene on foot and entered a carport of a residence where he reportedly stole a bicycle in an attempt to elude law en- forcement.
Deputies responded to the area and were able to find Spike hiding in a wooded area.
Spike was charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, petit theft, petit theft first degree, resisting an officer without violence, bur- glary of an unoccupied struc- ture, and grand theft motor vehicle.

asked Stacey to look in the master bedroom, and he told investigators he saw Clark’s body on the mattress under a blanket.
Tribble told Stacey she didn’t know what happened to Clark, and when he asked her why she didn’t call for an am- bulance or police, she told him they would ask too many questions, according to inves- tigators. Tribble then asked Stacey to help get rid of the body.
Detectives Need Help Identifying Credit Card Fraud Suspect
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for help in identifying a Black male who used a person’s Suncoast Credit Union ac- count/debit card to make sev- eral large deposits with fraudulent checks and then turn round and make numer- ous fraudulent purchases using the same debit card.
The suspect is described as a Black male 20-to-25 years old with a black mustache and goatee. He was last seen wear- ing a knit cap and True Reli- gion crew neck tee shirt. The

Parents Charged With Lying About Child Being In Stolen Car

Suspect Sought In Theft Of Tools
According to Clearwater Police, a child who was re- ported missing after a car was stolen was found safe at a day care center, and his parents now face charges for filing a false police report.
Police reported that Is- myel Badillo, 3, was found safe at a day care facility in Pinellas Park. At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a white Ford Fusion was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Boylan Avenue.
Angelica Luz Marrero, 24, told police she left her son, Ismyel, in the car, and when she came back, the car
and the child were gone. Police tracked the car through its GPS unit, and re- ported it had crashed just south of Curlew Road, and the driver, Steve Gamble,
Jr., 20, was arrested. Gamble denied any
knowledge of a child in the car, and during questioning, Marrero recanted her story.
She and the child’s father, Nestor Badillo, 27, have been charged with misuse of the 9-1-1 system and filing a false report. Marrero also is facing a charge of marijuana possession.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man seen in surveillance photos stealing more than $500 in merchandise from Sears at University Mall.
Deputies said the man walked out of the store at 2266 East Fowler on February 18th around 3 p.m. with a Max Air turbine blower, mechanics tool set and socket wrench set worth around $530.
The man was seen putting
the items into the bed of a white older model pickup truck before getting into the passenger seat while an unidentified man drove through the parking lot to- ward Fowler Avenue.
The suspect is described as being in his late 30s with brown hair and a medium build.

School’s Director Arrested On Theft Charge
Freedom High Lockdown Lifted
On Wednesday afternoon, Freedom High School was put on lockdown after Tampa Police received a tip about a gun on cam- pus.
The tip had not been validated, and police reported that the lockdown was lifted after no gun was found.
