MRS. JOSEPHINE BOOKER BLACK
A celebration of life serv- ice for Mrs. Josephine Booker Black, who heard the voice of God on March 3, 2016 will be held on Satur- day, March 12, 2016 at 11 a. m. at Holsey Temple C. M. E. Church, 3729 N. 15th Street, Tampa, with Rev. Anita D. Williams, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 1 sister; 3 brothers; and grandmother.
Josephine leaves behind to cherish memories of her in their hearts forever with: two loving daughters, Dar- lene Jones and Althea Mont- gomery (Leroy); loving son, Walter Black, Sr. (Harriett); eight grandchildren, Alfredo Jones (Marci), Andretta Gra- ham (Willie), Trenishia Black, Ariel Montgomery, Walter Black, Jr., Arnold Montgomery, Jr., Ahmaud Black and Imani Black; fif- teen great grandchildren, Brianna, Jorden, Miracle, Ty’ron, DaJohn, Amarie, Omaria, Alonzo, III, Remi, Amiyah, Makayla, Tyleana, Triniti, A’vion and Arnold, III; two sisters, Minnie Sim- mons and Deloris Woodard
(Rufus); three brothers, James Brooks (Annie), Lee Moore (Louise), and John Moore; two special nephews, Torrance Peterson (Tiffany), and Aaron Peterson (Melissa); three other nephews, Ronnie Simmons, Carlton Simmons and Rod- ney Peterson; six nieces, Car- rie Walker (Charles), Gloria Lewis (Terrance), Wanda Anderson (Victor), Rhonda McCullough (Malcolm), Greta Brooks and Regina Perkins (Dwayne); a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, including special cousin, Thelma Johnson (Fletcher); and friends, in- cluding special friends, Bertha Smith, Dorothy Ashe, Travis Smart, Joe Mara, Marvene Patrick and Alice Segallos; and other sorrow- ing family and friends.
Josephine Booker Black was born on April 8, 1936 to the parentage of Dillard Booker, Sr. and Irene Wal- ters in Tampa.
On April 15, 1960 Josephine married the late Alfred Black, Sr. and to this union two children were born.
Josephine was employed with the Hillsborough County School System as a Para Professional. She re- tired in 2000 after 29 years of service.
Josephine accepted Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. J. Z. Long- mire, and was a lifelong member of Holsey Temple C. M. E. Church.
There will be a viewing on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5-7 p. m. at Holsey Temple C. M. E. Church, with the family present to receive friends from 6-7 p. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church at ap- proximately 10:45 a. m. on Saturday.

MRS. FLORENCE B. WILLIAMS
Homegoing service for Mrs. Florence B. Williams, 89, who passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2 p. m. at New Bethel Pro- gressive Missionary Baptist Church, 3011 E. North Bay, Tampa, with Pastor Reginal T. Webb, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Florence was preceded in death by: her parents, Ethel Lena Norwood and Ben- jamin Bludsaw, Sr; husband, Donald Williams who passed in 1983; and her siblings, 2 brothers, George Bludsaw and Benjamin Bludsaw, Jr., and 2 sisters, Annie Mae Harris and Carrie Mosley.
Florence leaves fond memories with: her children, Pearletha Reese, Tampa, Elmira Henry (Rayfield), Tampa, Leroy Filmore (Pa- tricia) Tampa, Cleveland Fil- more (Essie), Fairview Heights, IL, and Chandra Williams, Tampa; a host of grandchildren, great grand- children, great great grand- children, nieces, nephews and cousins; and other sor- rowing relatives and friends.
Florence B. Williams was born in Tampa, on February 23, 1927 to the parentage of Benjamin Bludsaw, Sr. and Ethelena Norwood Bludsaw.
Florence was a Christian woman with more than 65 years of membership at New Bethel Progressive M. B. Church.
Florence loved her five children and strived to set a good example for them. One of Florence’s proudest mo- ments in her life was when she returned to Middleton Adult Night School and re- ceived her High School Diploma in 1983.
There will be a viewing on Friday, March 11, 2016, from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church at ap- proximately 1:45 a. m. on Saturday for the service.

MRS. CHRISTINE NIX
Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 11:00 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 North 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
Christine Nix (known as Tina), age 62, of Tampa en- tered into eternal rest on Monday, February 29, 2016.
She was born in Tampa, Florida on March 14, 1953 to the late Addie Brown.
When she was 13 years old her mother, Addie Brown passed away. She was then raised by her uncle and aunt, Rayfield and Geneva Nix
Ms. Christine Nix received the Lord as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill.
She attended Blake High School up until the 11th grade however, her senior year graduated from Middleton class 1971.
She was a dedicated employee of the Central Life Insurance Company for 11 years. Once Central Insur- ance Company closed, she worked for Fidelity Credit Card Services Fraud Depart- ment for 21 years.
She was preceded in death by: her siblings, Betty New- ton and Jacqueline Nix.
Ms. Christine leaves to cherish her memories: a lov- ing daughter, Teresa Nix; her loving son, LeVan Burney; Cherie Bush, granddaughter; grandson, Glenn Bush, Jr.; granddaughter, Gabrielle Bush; grandson, Kam Ruan Burney; great grandson, Ca- maxtli of Tampa, FL; sister, Patricia Martin of Jack- sonville, FL; brother, Joseph Powell (wife, Paulette) of Biloxi, MS; niece, Valerie Newton; niece, Jeanetta Powell; niece, Sheila Nix; nephew, Brian Newton (Wife, Linda); nephew, Daryl Martin; nephew, Jonathon Nix; nephew, Joseph Powell, Jr.; nephew, Daniel Newton Lepard; Brandon Newton; niece, Torrie Scott; devoted friend, Christia Carroll; and a host cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
