Your Assignment
Empowered Greet- ings. Are you ready to say yes to your assignment? You need to know that you were created on purpose,
with purpose, for a purpose. You are not a mistake; even if your momma and your daddy didn’t plan to have you.
God intended for you to be born. He created you with your assignment in mind. You may have to discover your assignment. However, as you travel the road on your journey to determining what your success assign- ment is, it’s important to take note of 3 things.
First, make sure you are going after the proper things in life.
Secondly, be sure you maintain proper motives for your pursuits.
Thirdly, make the proper decisions for your pursuits through the application of wisdom. By doing so, it in- creases your possibility of
producing the outcome of success that you desire.
There are three key things to know about your assign- ment.
You have been assigned to serve a special group of people.
Your assignment is for a special season in life for the people you are called to serve.
Your assignment is for a special time and place.
You cannot allow any- thing to hold you back from moving forward in your as- signment. There is someone that is waiting for you to say yes to your assignment, be- cause their assignment is tied to yours. If you don’t dis- cover and answer the call for your life they stay stuck, too. Here’s a quick example.
If Charles Barbier had- n’t invented raised print based on phonetics for sol- diers to silently read without the use of light, then Louis Braille wouldn’t have had a
basis to create Braille. Braille is a simplified system that al- lows the blind to read but in- cludes a way for music and math to be expressed. Braille is used by blind people all over the world, in almost every language. Braille’s fulfillment of his assignment was tied to Charles’ assign- ment. Braille’s set people are all those who are blind, the season, time and place was then, now and through- out time.
Your assignment is valu- able and original to you. Oth- ers may have a similar assignment, but yours will be unique to you. Don’t sell yourself short. Make your life count for those that are counting on you. Say yes to your assignment.
Selphenia would love to help you discover the assign- ment for your life or help you develop a plan to fulfill that assignment. Call her today at (813) 603-0088.

Trump Budget Will Kill AMTRAK Travel
magine, if at all possible, most of America without
passenger train travel. What’s more, picture all long distance passenger train travelers being left without a means of rail transportation, and all of this could hap- pen if President Donald Trump has his way with the fu- ture of AMTRAK. Or could this most recent Trump-surprise be just another ploy to privatize train travel for the rich and (in) famous?
Your guess is as good as ours. But consider this: at least 225 cities (including Jacksonville, Tampa, Lake- land, Sanford, Orlando, and major cities along the Southeastern seaboard) in 23 states will lose all pas- senger railway services if Congress approves President Trump’s upcoming budget cuts. Proposing to slice AM- TRAK’s long distance passenger service by $630 mil- lion, President Trump’s cut would reduce AMTRAK funding by half.
In addition, a 45% on-time service record and con- tinuous financial loses over the last decade are reasons given for scuttling the AMTRAK services for many com- muters and long-distance travelers who will be the hardest hit taxpayers. Moreover, what will senior citi- zens, low-income citizens, people who are unable to fly for medical or financial reasons, persons who prefer train travel, or people who live long distances from air- ports to do? Who seems to care? Not President Trump; that’s for certain.
Indeed, current trends show that middle-aged adults are driving cars less and are failing to renew their drivers’ licenses, while the driver’s license rates for 30 and 40-year-olds have fallen; the driver license rates for the 19-year-olds has fallen by 21%; and the drivers’ license rates for 20-plus year-olds has plum- meted by 13 percent.
More than 48 percent of drivers over the age of 60 have stopped driving. Therefore, President Trump’s logic for cutting train travel because of airplanes, inter- state highways and bus availability makes no sense.
Now is the time to contact your Congressional rep- resentatives to tell President Donald Trump, KEEP THE TRAINS ROLLING!
