Tiger Finishes Strong At Quicken Loans National
Seahawks Release DT Tony McDaniel
Tony McDaniel started 29 of Seattle's 32 regular-season games over the last two years.
The Seattle Seahawks released starting defensive tackle Tony McDaniel on Sunday, the lat- est move in a busy weekend for the reigning NFC champions.
The Seahawks made the move to help offset a salary-cap crunch after reaching long-term extensions with quarterback Russell Wilson and line- backer Bobby Wagner, a source told reporters.
McDaniel, 30, was set to make $2.5 million in base salary this season and was scheduled to become a free agent in 2016. The nine-year veteran has started in 29 of Seattle's 32 reg- ular-season games over the past two years.
Seattle signed Wagner to a four-year extension worth $43 million Saturday, a source con- firmed, making him the highest- paid middle linebacker in football.
Wagner's deal came one day after the Seahawks retained Wilson with a four-year exten- sion that, according to sources, is worth $87.6 million, includ- ing $31 million in guarantees.
The Seahawks also are facing a contract dispute with star safety Kam Chancellor, who is holding out from the start of training camp because of his displeasure with his current deal

Tiger Woods got his big gallery roaring Sunday with a fast start in the final round of the ninth Quicken Loans Na- tional at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Vir- ginia. He birdied five of his first 10 holes to soar up the leader- board but couldn't sustain it that play on the back nine.
Still, Woods posted a 3- under-par 68 and finished in a tie for 18th. It stands as his sec- ond-best showing of the 2015 PGA Tour season, bettered only by a tie for 17th at the Masters. Tiger, who also served as tour- nament host, carded rounds of 68-66-74-68 to finish at 8- under 276.
"I hit it really well," said Tiger. "I didn't really miss a shot on the front nine. I felt like I had total control of the golf ball."
After missing his first six fair- ways on Saturday, he found the first six on Sunday. Paired with John Huh on a warm, wind- less morning, the two-time winner was followed by an enormous, encouraging crowd.
Woods two-putted the first

two holes from long range for pars, hitting the pin with his approach shot at the par-4 first, then broke through with a nine-foot birdie putt at the 500-yard par-4 third, where he crushed a 337-yard drive and hit a 9-iron from 163 yards. He added another at the 210-yard par-3 fourth; knocking his tee shot nine feet from the flag. Tiger made it three straight at the 555-yard par-5 fifth, where he reached the green in two from 236 yards and two-putted for a birdie from 60 feet.
Russell Wilson, Ciara, And Her Son Are Looking Like One Big Happy Family (And Future Is Not Happy About It)
Russell Wilson, Ciara, and her son are looking pretty cozy in pictures that have made the internet go, “awww” this weekend. Ciara brought baby Future Zahir along to Wilson’s training camp where the quarterback had just signed a new $87.5 million con- tract with the Seattle Seahawks.
Dwayne Johnson Says Of Hulk Hogan: 'We've All Talked Trash'

Although it cannot be seen in the above picture, baby Future is wearing Russell Wilson’s jersey. Not going to lie, they very much look like one big happy family. And it definitely looks like Future Zahir is warming up to Wilson just fine. The other Future, Fu- ture Zahir’s dad and Ciara’s ex, might not be so happy about all of this.
Of course this comes as no surprise as the two have been going back and forth with the
shade-throwing at each other for some weeks now, especially since it became public knowl- edge that Ciara and Russell are staying celibate in their re- lationship.
It looks like Ciara, Russell, and Future Zahir are build- ing a new family though, and while that will simply always have to include Future as the baby’s father, he will also have to learn how to deal. And hope- fully without sending any more petty tweets.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Dwayne Johnson says he was disappointed when he heard about a tape of Hulk Hogan using racial slurs.
Johnson, also a former pro wrestler, told a TV critics' meeting Thursday that the re- marks didn't match his per- sonal history with Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bol- lea.
"I've known Terry for a lot of years, and my dad helped train him in Florida in the '70s when he was breaking into the business. I come from a very long line of lineage of profes- sional wrestlers. I had not known the man to be racist," said Johnson, who was at the
meeting to talk about his HBO series, "Ballers."
He acknowledged: "We've all talked trash, you know, espe- cially in private. He said what he said, and he's paying the price."
The 61-year-old Hogan has suffered backlash despite apol- ogizing in a statement for using "offensive language."
World Wrestling Entertain- ment Inc. severed ties with him this week.
Also Thursday, a judge set a March 2016 trial date for a law- suit brought by Hogan against Gawker Media for releasing a sex tape that contained the comments.
