Going To A Fight With A Brick: Pastor Shoots Man
City Church Of God in Detroit.
DETROIT, MI -- Detroit pastor pulled out a Glock handgun during the 1:30 p.m. Sunday service and fatally shot a man who was report- edly trying to attack him, au- thorities say.
"The pastor had had issues with the man before," Assis- tant Police Chief Steve Dol- unt told the Detroit News. "He had been threatening him to do bodily harm. He walked into the service and went after the pastor with a brick. The pastor pulled out his Glock and fired several shots. I think he hit him four
or five times, and the man died."
The pastor of the City of God Church, who was not identified in the report, was questioned and released by police, who told the newspa- per that evidence will be col- lected and a warrant request given to prosecutors, who will decide whether the shooting was justified, the Detroit News reports.
"We're not sure, at this point, whether the man had mental problems or what," Dolunt said. "It's still under investigation."
The Conversation
Lord Jesus can I please have some of your time, I have a few troubling things that are on my mind.
It seems that no matter how hard I try I always fail, seems when I call on you for help you're never there.
I know I'm a sinner and I've done some wrong, I've even repented with prayer that you keep me strong.
I almost gave up until I heard your voice, my eyes began to water with each word you spoke.
"Pray and seek my face and turn from your wicked ways," a disobedient child doesn't live half of his days.
Every time you prayed my ears and heart listened, I've also answered every prayer if you paid close at- tention.

Transgender Woman Murdered For Outing Her Boyfriend
Zella Ziona was murdered by her lover.
MARYLAND --- Authorities have not ruled the shooting of a 21-year-old Maryland trans- gender woman a hate crime, but they haven't ruled out the possibility as yet either.
However, the family of Zella Ziona believes that is exactly what it is.
Officers have arrested 20- year-old Rico LeBlond in Ziona's shooting death, charging him with first-degree murder on last Friday. Charg- ing documents show that LeBlond may have become angry and embarrassed after his relationship with Ziona became public.
Witnesses reportedly said that Ziona "began acting flamboyantly towards LeBlond and greatly embar-
rassed LeBlond in front of his peers."
Ziona sustained gunshot wounds to the head and groin. She was on her way to lay flowers on her grandmother's grave, according to family members, when she was killed. LeBlond reportedly has a criminal history that in- cludes theft and attempted murder.
Ziona is one of at least 21 transgender women who have been killed this year in the U. S. Most of the victims, like Ziona, were transwomen of color.
"She was just amazing," Barbie Johnson, a friend of Ziona, told NBC. "When Zella's around, there's not a single frown in the room."
