Tampa Woman Perishes In Early Morning Fire
A 28-year-old Tampa woman died in an apartment fire Sunday. The victim was visiting a friend in Temple Terrace.
According to the Temple Terrace Police Department, firefighters from the Temple Terrace, Tampa, and Hills- borough County Fire Depart- ments, responded to a fire at 11115 Normandy Place, at The Park at Monument Ter- race Apartments. Fire offi-

cials received the 9-1-1 call at approximately 2:55 a.m., and the residents were evac- uated.
After the blaze was extin- guished, firefighters began checking the twelve apart- ments affected by the fire. During the search of the premises, firemen discov- ered the body of Ms. Tene- cia A. Brannon, of Tampa.
The cause of the fire re- mains under investigation.

Outreach Summer Program To Begin
For the sixth consecutive year, the Rays Of Hope Out- reach Summer Program will take place. This year, the program begins on June 5th.
Horace Drew, founder of the program said, it will operate Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will be held at
New Smyrna Full Gospel Cathedral, 5015 N. 17th Street.
“This is an opportunity for parents to get their kids involved in something posi- tive and productive this summer.”
Drew said the program will end on July 31st. The program is free and open to children between the ages of 7 and 18 years.
