‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Is
J. Cole Says He Urged Dr. Dre To Sign An Up-And-Coming Kendrick Lamar

After smashing box office records for 2021 during its opening weekend, Spider- Man: No Way Home is now set to become the highest-grossing film of the year.
Per Variety, the film is set to pass the $1 billion worldwide gross mark on Christmas Day. That will make it the highest- grossing film of the year, beat- ing out Chinese war film The Battle at Lake Changjin, which grossed over $905 million at the box office. No Way Home will become the first theatrical release since the start of the pandemic to hit $1 billion, and it’s done it without releasing in China.
On Thursday, No Way Home brought in $29.3 million do- mestically to a seven-day gross of $385.8 million. That’s the

Cole said he first brought up Kendrick while Dre was working on Detox; however, one of Dre’s team members was already familiar with the up-and-coming rapper. Dre would go on to sign Kendrick to his Aftermath imprint in 2013.

Doja Cat Says She Wants To Record A Pop And Hip-Hop Double Album
Doja Cat has revealed that she wants to make a double album with hip-hop and pop music sides. On an Instagram Live late Friday evening, the singer outlined what the po- tential future project would look like.
One side of the project would consist of seven songs in her typical pop-rap sound. The other side would see her venture into hip-hop music across twelve singles.
For the hip-hop album, Doja Cat wants Jay Versace and 9th Wonder to produce

the tracks.
“New project. 12 songs. All
of them, every f***in’ one, Jay Versace and 9th Wonder,” she said.
Versace became popular for his comedic content on the platform Vine before he began producing in 2018. He gave one of the first beats he made to Westside Gunn.
Meanwhile, 9th Wonder has established himself as a legend in the rap industry over the course of the past few decades, having worked with Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Erykah Badu, Drake, J. Cole, and more.

Drake was in a giving mood this holiday season.
The 6 God was seen giving out stacks of cash to people in his hometown of Toronto on Christmas day. One such lucky and unsuspecting person cap- tured a video of Drizzy sitting in the backseat of a Maybach, as the rapper handed over a stack of Canadian 20 dollar bills. While it’s unclear exactly how much money they re- ceived, the stack was fat.
