Dwyane Wade Played His Final Hometown NBA Game
Australian Open:
Cardi B apparently isn’t through making power moves. She’s getting ready to go where only a select few – including Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Britney Spears – have gone ... repping for Pepsi for the brand’s Super Bowl ad campaign.
Cardi B is officially down as this year’s Pepsi celeb spokesperson. The ad has al- ready been shot and will air during Super Bowl 53.
The Pepsi spot is kinda the gold standard for ads during the big game, which is watched by hundreds of mil- lions and has a long afterlife. In other words, Cardi B is

McFadden Arrested On DWI,
Resisting Arrest Charges
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Darren Mc- Fadden was arrested early Monday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
The 31-year-old fell asleep behind the wheel of his car in a Whataburger drive-thru in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. When officers arrived, he al- legedly resisted arrest, and his car windows reportedly were broken during the incident.
He was released on bond later Monday.
McFadden retired from the NFL in 2017 after 10 years in the league with the Cowboys

and Oakland Raiders. The No. 4 overall pick in 2008, he never reached lofty expecta- tions with Oakland as injuries prevented him from playing 16 games in any of his first six years in the league.

about to be an even bigger star.
Cardi is also set to put on a show with Bruno Mars in the days leading up to The Super Bowl ... the buzz is that it will be the biggest party of the weekend.
DWYANE WADE
Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat guard who once played for a brief stint in Chicago in 2016-17, was given an honorable send-off by the Bulls, complete with a tribute video from his days playing for the team.
He ended the night on a high having beat the Bulls, 117-103.
“It definitely felt different than any other city,” Wade said after the game. “It was a good different. I have more of a connection here than any- where else. This is my birth city. This is the place where my vision to become an NBA player started.”
Wade finished strong with 14 points, 7 assists and 10 rebounds in 27 minutes.
Serena Williams, her movement cramped late in the match by a rolled ankle, blew a third-set 5-1 lead, four match points, a rematch with Naomi Osaka and a chance to equal the 24 slam titles of Margaret Court in a dra- matic quarter-final on Wednesday.
Karolina Pliskova re- mained calm as Williams disintegrated physically after her left ankle collapsed under her during a foot-fault when in sight of victory, and went on to win 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
On Thursday, she plays Osaka – Williams’s con- queror in the US Open final – after the exciting young Japanese player had ac- counted for the Ukrainian sixth seed Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-1 in just an hour and 12 minutes in the opening match on Rod Laver Arena.
“I think she improved her game in the second set, went for her shots,” Pliskova said courtside. “I got a little tight, played too passive. But I’m

standing here as the winner, so I’m happy. My mind was in the locker room at 5-1 down in the third. I didn’t have many chances. She got a little bit shakey in the end and I took my chances. I’ll be ready for tomorrow. We’ve played a few times. She’s had some great times since the US Open.”
Williams’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou said beforehand he thought she was playing her best tennis since coming back from childbirth – but that wasn’t the overall impression in the first hour on another hot day.
    CBS Reportedly Ready To Give
Tony Romo 'Substantial'
Raise To Stay With Network
You must admit Tony Romo knows the game of football.
As Romo's broadcasting reputation continues to grow, CBS is willing to do whatever it takes to keep him in the booth.
The New York Post re- ported Monday that the net- work "is prepared to give Romo a substantial raise." The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback has one year left on his deal with CBS and earns around $4 million annually, according to Marchand.
Richard Deitsch of The Athletic asked Romo if he has received any contract offers to make a return to the playing field.
"There are legitimate con- tract offers and there are, 'Hey,
TONY ROMO
what are you thinking?'" Romo replied.
CBS' decision to make Romo its lead analyst follow- ing his retirement from the NFL looked like a risk at the time. Plenty of former players have struggled to make the ad- justment to broadcasting, such as Romo's one-time team- mate, Jason Witten.
