A large crowd of family, members, and friends gathered at New Salem M. B. Church’s temporary location, Mt. Calvary SDA Jr. Acad- emy on Wilder Avenue, on Sunday, November 8th to celebrate the debut of “Let’s Get Excited About The Lord,” a skit written and directed by Mary Upshaw of Mary Ross Upshaw Produc- tions.
The skit is a metaphor to minister through
drama. The message is a wakeup call to every- one. The skit was presented by the Fine Arts Ministry of New Salem to set an example of how we can battle moral decline so evident in many communities, families, and even in some churches.
The objective of the skit was to make a posi- tive difference in someone’s life. (PHOTOS BY SYLVESTER HARRIS)
