Anyone who has read this column over the last three years could proba- bly surmise that I don't care much about Donald Trump. From the crass way he addresses people, to his policies, to his racist dog- whistling, to his wack toupee, everything about him comes off as repulsive.
This is why, when the crazy conspiracy began to spread last week about Trump possibly being the anti-Christ based on him self-proclaiming to be the "chosen one" and some lu- natic editorialist overseas stating in an op-ed that Trump was the "King of Is- rael," I laughed. I mean Trump may be a lot of things, boorish, crude, class- less, etc... to name a few, but the son of Satan, himself? Even I have to admit that's a
bit of a stretch.
While I would never con-
sider myself an expert on the subject, from my limited un- derstanding of Biblical prophecy, whoever the anti- Christ comes in the form of would have to be charming and universally loved in order for him to be able to persuade the world to follow his lead before revealing his true identity. I could be wrong, but that description alone seems to disqualify Trump from inhabiting such an iconic position.
Now if it were suggested that Trump was the open- ing act for the anti-Christ, the dude whose destructive behavior sets the stage for a false savior to come to our rescue, that's a role I could visualize Trump fulfilling. It's just impossible to imag- ine someone like Beelze-
bub, who has been waiting an eternity to make an ap- pearance, choosing a bla- tantly abhorrent vehicle like Trump to spoil the surprise.
Even though I assume that most people didn't take any of this nonsense seri- ously when the anti-Christ talk first started to circulate online, I think it still speaks volumes about Trump's character that he could be re- motely associated with the manifestation of pure evil. And what's even more shock- ing is that his base, which a majority claim to be evangel- ical Christians, didn't seem the least bit troubled by the allegation.
I remember Trump once making the assertion that he could shoot someone in the middle of Manhattan and not lose a single supporter. Not only does it now appear as though he was right but, it seems that those who love him could also care less if he carried a pitchfork and ush- ered them straight to Hell af- terwards.

Waiting For Dorian: A Hurricane Warning
s it here, yet? Weather forecasters swear a category
one hurricane named Dorian is on its way to Down- town Tampa. Maybe so, but if so, there are some things we suggest we all should be thinking about in the Tampa Bay area. Therefore, the following comments bear watching.
Don’t let calm skies fool you. History records that what starts as a tropical storm can end up overnight as a category four “Godzilla,” slamming your doors and smashing windows. So, with this truth in mind, follow- ing is what we suggest you do.
Make sure you have stocked up on drinking water . . . enough at least to last for a week. Buy items like toi- let paper, toothpaste, mouth wash, and soap. Stock up on paper towels, napkins, etc. In addition, buy extra batteries, flashlights, radios, etc. If you take medicine, make sure you have a supply adequate to last through a power outage.
Then turn your attention to boxed non-perishable foods and pop-lid cans, unless you have a propane source for heating food.
Also, don’t forget to secure enough gas for your car and cash money to last for a week in case of power out- ages.
It could be that a major storm might not happen here or at least any time soon. Indeed, you may be left with an overload of goods when hurricane season has passed.
However, as we are convinced, “It is better to be safe than sorry.”
(P. S. Happy Labor Day!).
Go Back To Your Future
Empowered Greet- ings. I am sure most people would love to turn back the hands of time and change a few things in your past, that you think would ensure you of a more positive future. However, since you can’t go back and undo the hands of time, I encourage you to go back to your future.
As kids all across the na- tion are going back to school, this month, I want you to go
