Philadelphia Men Arrested At
Teen Chosen To Perform At Royal Wedding
Starbucks Settle Lawsuit For Symbolic
$1 Each And Program For Entrepreneurs
London, England — The Kensington Palace has an- nounced that 19-year old cel- list, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, is on the list of artists sched- uled to perform at the upcom- ing May 19th royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Sheku, one of the brightest young stars on the classical music scene and winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, is already in great demand from major orchestras and concert halls worldwide.
In January 2018, his debut recording for Decca Classics, Inspiration, was released, fea- turing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 with the city of Birmingham Symphony Or- chestra and Mirga Gražinytė-tyla. The album entered the official UK album charts at number 18, and reached number 1 in the classi- cal chart.
PHILADELPHIA, PA —- The two black men arrested for sitting at a Philadelphia Star- bucks without ordering any- thing have settled with the city for a symbolic $1 each and a promise from officials to set up a $200,000 program for young entrepreneurs.
The men's lawyer and Mayor Jim Kenney outlined the agreement to The Associ- ated Press.
The arrest of Rashon Nel- son and Donte Robinson on April 12 touched off a furor around the U. S. over racial profiling.
They were led away in hand- cuffs after the manager called the police, saying the men re- fused to buy anything or leave. After spending hours in jail, they were released and no charges were filed.
The men said they were waiting for a business meeting about a potential real estate deal.

phia to personally apologize. He also announced Starbucks stores would close May 29 for training on bias.
"I want to thank Donte and Rashon for their willingness to reconcile," Johnson said in a statement. "I welcome the op- portunity to begin a relation- ship with them to share learnings and experiences. And Starbucks will continue to take actions that stem from this in- cident to repair and reaffirm our values and vision for the kind of company we want to be."
As part of their agreement with the coffee chain, Robin-
son and Nelson will work with former U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder as part of Starbucks' diversity and eq- uity efforts.
"We all recognize the impor- tance of communication about differences and solutions, and that we will be measured by our action not words," they said in a joint statement.
In addition the two men have been offered the opportunity to complete their undergraduate degrees through Starbucks' col- lege achievement program, a fully reimbursed education through Arizona State Univer- sity.
Sheku Kanneh-Mason is one of the brightest young stars on the classical music scene in the UK.
Sheku’s international ca- reer is developing very quickly, and he has already made suc- cessful debuts with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Birmingham Sym- phony, Royal Liverpool Phil- harmonic and Tonhalle Orchestra, Zurich.
Baby Is Badly Beaten At Daycare Center

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- An outraged Indiana mother re- portedly punched a daycare worker after finding her one- year-old son beaten up at a nursery.
Tiffany Griffin arrived at the center in Indianapolis, In- diana, to find her child’s face horribly swollen and covered in cuts. She said she could hear the screams of her baby boy, Jesse Harris IV, when she went to pick him up on Monday afternoon, reported local news.
Staff from the daycare called Griffin hours after she dropped off Jesse and her other son. She took him to a hospital following the incident, where he was treated for his in- juries, according to Newsweek.

“Now I gotta be a stay at home mom and not do the thing I want to do to advance in life to give them the best in order to make sure they’re taken care of and not neg- lected,” she said.
Aaron Hamer, an Indi- anapolis Police spokesman,
confirmed that detectives are investigating the incident but said no arrests have been made.
The worker Griffin punched is now being investi- gated as a suspect, according to a police report seen by Fox 59. But Haben Ghebremichael, the owner of the daycare, ex- plained to Associated Press that another toddler (a girl) at- tacked little Jesse shortly after he was dropped off.
However, Griffin is not buying it.
After news broke of the in- cident on Tuesday, Ghe- bremichael closed the daycare following harassing phone calls. She is unsure when it will reopen.

Restaurant Would Not Honor Coupon From Black Patron
Link Alexander walked into a Rocky Mount, North Carolina restaurant with a coupon that guaranteed him a free meal. But he was met with a suspicious eye from an em- ployee.
After he explained, Alexan- der was told the coupon offer- ing “one free buffet” was no good because it didn’t have sig- natures from the restaurant managers.
“He looks at the card. He looks at me. He was like, ‘So where did you get the card from?’” Alexander said. “It has to be signed by my man- ager, or my [district manager],

and this is neither one of their signatures,” Alexander said the assistant manager told him.
Dejected, he left empty- handed. But that wasn’t the end of it.
When he got home, he re- layed the experience to his white roommate, Rex Ster- ling; who immediately went into action.
“I took his coupon, the same one they rejected 2 hours ear- lier, and went to the same Pizza Inn myself to see if my experi- ence would be any different and also to confront the man- ager and ask for answers,” Sterling said in his Facebook post.
His experience was dif- ferent.
