Funerals/Memoriam
RAY WILLIAMS
MR. J. B. WILLIAMS
Mr. J. B. Williams of Tampa passed away Friday, August 21, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Ave., with Elder Tony Parker, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.

Mr. J. B. Williams was a na- tive of Colquitt, Georgia and a resident of Tampa, FL for 65 years.
He retired after 50 years of dedicated service from Stan- dard Concrete.
He was preceded in death by: his devoted wife of 45 years, Mrs. Denie Love Williams; sib- lings, Vydavis Anthony, J. D. Williams, Jr., Ophelia Peterson, Troy Williams, Elaine McGee, Gerald Williams, Pat Williams, Willie Weaver and Johnnie James Grigley.
He leaves to cherish his memory: stepdaughter, Ms. Blossie Edwards of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Love Davis of Tampa, FL; sib- lings, Emma Jean Wiley, Eloise Anthony, Ben Williams, Willam- ina Jackson, Harvey Williams, Horace Williams, and Herman Williams; nieces, Jacqueline Warren, Glenda Givens, and Charlene Williams; nephews, Elton Grigley, Shelton Grigley, Craig Weaver (Connie), and Keith Weaver (Sarah); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 3-7 p.m., Friday, Septem- ber 4, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walter and Lil- lian Van Buren, Sr.; grandpar- ents, Oliver and Alberta Williams, Sr., and Mary Tilley; sister, Dorothy Ann Williams; brothers, Walter Van Buren, Jr., Murphy Van Buren, and Charles Ray Van Buren, Sr.; fa- ther and mother-in-law, Nathan and Verna Jean Evans, Sr.; and great granddaughter, Armani Green.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 27 years, Jennifer Evans; sons, Corey Jerome Cooper (Teisha), Kewon Robert Van Buren (LaTraille), (Tampa FL), Cameo Daverin Van Buren, Taraz Ramone Van Buren (Charity) (Baton Rouge, LA), and Lamar Rasheed Robin- son, (Tampa FL); stepchildren, Latroya Byrd, Cornelius Byrd, Cornalius Byrd, Ronald Byrd, and Mario Smith (Tampa, FL); brother, Earl Lawrence Van Buren; sisters, Verna Mae Van Buren, Cynthia Sewire (Alvin), Linda Lovely (Michael), (Thibo- daux, LA), Sarah and Louise Moses (Marlon), (Harvey, LA); aunts, Gracie Brown and Betty Jones, (Thibodaux, LA); broth- ers-in-law, David Evans, Nathan Evans, and Ricky Evans; sister- in-law, Otha Evans (Tampa, FL); 13 grandchildren; 7 great grand- children; and god child, Trinity Wilford.
He also leaves a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

WILSON
MRS. GRACE BELL BLOUNT
A private service will be held for Mrs. Grace Bell Blount, 99, who passed peacefully on Au- gust 25, 2020.
Grace was the daughter of the late Ed and Redesia Roberts, born on December 11, 1920, in Sparta, GA. She at- tended Hancock County Public School. She was a member of Hickory Grove Missionary Bap- tist Church, Sparta, GA, until she was united in holy matri- mony in 1946, to her late hus- band, Robert P. Blount, Sr. They later moved to Tampa, Fl, where she joined Holsey Tem- ple C. M. E. Church and faith- fully served on the #1 Usher Board. Mrs. Blount was a Chris- tian who loved serving and talk- ing about the Lord.
Mrs. Blount was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand- mother and friend. One of her favorite sayings was: “May the work I have done speak for me.” What a beautiful life of service to God as I pass from this mor- tal clay where I have worked and toiled for God’s glorious
things. Now my life’s work will remain an array.
Mrs. Blount worked various jobs on premises, as a domestic worker. She also worked for Tampa International Airport Triangle Building Services for 28 years, retiring at the age of 85. She was a long time mem- ber of Camilla Club.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert P. Blount Sr., of 73 years; son, James A. Blount; parents, Ed and Re- desia Roberts; brothers, Otto, Laum and James Roberts; sis- ters, Ed Lu Kendrick, Pesola Baker, Ilene Johnson, Susie Roberts and Rosie Chappell.
Mrs. Blount is survived by her children, Robert P. Blount, Jr., (Gloria) of Atlanta, GA, Jo Ann Blount, Edward Blount, Sheila E. Blount (caregiver), Stevenson A. Blount, Sr., (all of Tampa, FL); stepson, Altona Cummings of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Robby Johnson of Tampa, FL, Syrita Robinson (Christopher) of Fort Washing- ton, MD, Robert P. Blount, III, (Kimberly) Tampa, FL, Eboni Blount, Tamara Waits, Whit- ney Blount of Atlanta GA., Susie Blount, Valencia Blount, and Atreus Blount of Tampa, FL; great grands, Nocona, Zuni, Keith Waits all of Atlanta, GA, Stevenson A. Blount, Jr., Robert P. Blount, IV, of Tampa, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

        BROTHER ROBERT VAN BUREN
Brother Robert Van Buren, 62, affectionately known as “Foots,” peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Septem- ber 5 at 2 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Prentiss A. Davis, of Word of GOD Ministry, Inc., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.

Brother Robert Van Buren was a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana, born to Mr. Walter and Lillian Van Buren, Sr. He grew up in Thibodaux, LA, but later relocated to Tampa, FL, where he spent the remainder of his life’s journey.
Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2007 under the leadership of Rev- erend Bryant A. Fayson, of St. Paul AME Church in Tampa, FL.
Robert worked for 45 years in the construction and rehabil- itation field.
He loved everyone he met and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.
