MRS. ALICE CARSWELL
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Alice Carswell of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 will be held Saturday, April 6th, 2 p. m. at New Testa- ment Worship Center, 5107 E. 32nd Ave., Pastor Deborah Comellas, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Alice Carswell was born January 24, 1943 in Mon- tezuma, Georgia. She was a member of New Testament Worship Center. She enjoyed going to church, praying, shop- ping and dressing very nice. She was a God-fearing woman that put God first above everything.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, M. B. Martin and Laura Brown; stepmother, Christine Martin; brothers, Melvin James and Willie Mar- tin; sisters, Carrie Trotman and Martha Sanders.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her husband, Charlie Carswell; children, Carolyn Davis, Deneilia Young, Clarence Young, Darron Carswell, Gre- gory Carswell, Stephanie Car- swell and Pamela Carswell; goddaughter, Tammie Laray; grandchildren, Ashley E., Courtney M., Raneisha S., Robert S., Quanshae H., Lar- shae H., Demetria Y., Demetrius Y., Zavian Y., Lavardis H. Laquesha H., Kolbe C., Darron C., Jr., Sterling J., Sr., Lamont J., Adarius F., Jor- dan F., Dontorrio J., Tony D., Kelvin D. and Quintorrio D.; 46 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nissie Felton, Mary Hill, Roberta Scotland and Annette Smith; nieces, Laura O’Neal; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day,April5thfrom5to7p.m. The family and friends will re- ceive friends from 5 to 6 p. m.

MRS. ROSA JONES
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Rosa Lee Hendrix Jones, “Auntie,” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2 p. m. at The Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church, 14801 N. 15th Street, Lutz, FL 33549, Rev. Dr. Delores James Cain, pastor, officiating. The in- terment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rosa Lee Hendrix Jones was born April 15, 1929 in Miami, Florida, the second of two daughters, to the parentage of the late Mrs. Louise Walters Hendrix and the first daughter to be born to Mr. Ernest John Hendrix. Her education began at St. Peter Claver Catholic School, and continued in the Hillsborough County School System, with her graduating in the class of 1949 from George S. Middleton Senior High School. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.
Mother Jones was a faithful and dedicated member of Her- itage Christian Community Bap- tist Church. She served on the Mothers’ Board. Mrs. Jones was married to the late Ret. Sgt. Franklin D. Jones, Sr. She was the mother of two sons and was a retired legal secretary. She dreamed of traveling the world over as a child, and she was given that opportunity as a mili- tary wife. To most, Mrs. Jones was known as “Auntie.”
She was predeceased by: her parents, husband, and only sib- ling, a sister, Georgie Mae Washington Lee-Butler.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: her sons, Franklin D. Jones, Jr., Merritt Island, FL, and Donald Chester Jones, Cor- doba, Argentina; two grand- sons, Michael Xaviar Jones and Evander Dietrich Jones, Cor- doba, Argentina; one loving, de- voted niece and caregiver, Rogena Lee-Glean; three nephews, Fred L. Lee, Jr. (Shirley), Eric L. Lee, Sr. (Gail) and Don R. Lee; grandnephews and grandnieces, Latonia McCoy (Vincent), Tanya Lee, Symone Lee, Hassan Lee, Rev. Darren M. MOTHER MARY LILLIAN TURNER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mary Lillian Turner of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019, will be held Saturday, April 6th, 11 a.m., at St. John Progressive M. B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco St., Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., pas- tor; Bishop Michael W. Lewis, Sr., Pastor of First Victory Cathedral Church, officiating. The interment will be in Gar- den of Memories Cemetery.
Mary was born February 11, 1942, in Summerfield, Florida. She was a member of First Vic- tory Cathedral Church, Inc., where she faithfully served as Mother of the church.
Mrs. Turner loved garden- ing, going to church, being with family, cooking, and volunteer- ing as a grandparent to support the youth.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Edgar Morand and Iletha Morand; brothers, Edgar Morand, Jr., and Larry Morand, and sister, Irene Morand Woolbright.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her children, Leroy Johnson, of Ocala, Florida, Richard John- son, Gloria Johnson Smith, Sylvester Jackson (Yolonda) and LaNitra Johnson, all of Tampa, Florida; a host of grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Morand (Mary), Elroy Morand (Billie), of Archer, Florida, Lofton Morand (Frankie), of Pontiac, Michi- gan, and Mitchell Morand (Liz), of Decatur, Georgia; brother-in-law, Leonard P. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Annie Hill Jones-Frett of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 10 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, offi- ciating. The interment will fol- low.
Annie was born on August 8, 1946, in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Clyde Hill, Sr. and Luizia Perry. She enjoyed shelling peas, cooking, clean- ing fish, maintaining her hair and nails, shopping and most of all, she loved her two boys.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Clyde Leroy Hill and 2 brothers, Roy Lee Hill and Robert Lewis Hill.
She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories with: her husband, Gerald M. Frett; children, Albert Arenas (Shirley) and Juan Martinez Arenas (Wilda); grandchil- dren, Monica S. Mallory Are- nas, Shadez Arenas, Terrance S. Arenas, Danielle Williams, Kino Thompson, Angela Gray, Juan M.
