Airman Graduates From Military Basic Training
AIRMAN ELIOT J. TOLEDO
Recently, U. S. Air Force
Airman 1st Class Eliot J. Toledo completed all require- ments and graduated from military basic training. His graduation ceremony took place at the Joint Base San An- tonio-Lackland, in San Anto- nio, Texas.
Airman 1st Class Toledo
completed an intensive eight- week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core val- ues, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
He also earned four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Airman 1st Class Toledo
graduated from Freedom High School in 2010. He is the son of Cruz Gutierrez, of Tampa.

To Naval Submarine Base
LT. JEAN-CARLOS HERNANEZ
Lt. Jean-Carlos Her- nandez is an Assistant Oper- ations Officer, serving aboard the homeport for U. S. Atlantic Fleet’s ballistic missile nuclear submarines. Lt. Hernandez is a Brandon native, and a 2006 graduate of Middleton High School.
He is responsible for assist- ing in the development and ex- ecution schedule for five ballistic missile submarines.
The mission of the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay is to provide support to the fleet, fighter, and family. It is the state-of-the art home to the At- lantic Fleet’s Trident sub- marines and serves as an integral part of the nation’s strategic deterrence program.
Lt. Hernandez and other sailors know they are part of a legacy supporting the Navy’s most advanced submarines.

Solid Waste Department Collection For Spring Holiday
City of Tampa offices will be closed on Friday, April 14, 2017 in observance of the Spring Day holiday. As a re- sult, customers scheduled for collection service or, needing access to the McKay Bay Transfer Station on Friday, April 14, 2017 will be af- fected. The revised holiday collection schedule is as fol- lows:
Residential accounts:
There will be no collection on Friday, April 14, 2017. Nor- mal garbage service will re- sume on the next scheduled service day (Tuesday, April 18, 2017). Recycling and yard waste collection will resume on Friday, April 21, 2017.
Commercial accounts:
There will be no collection on Friday, April 14, 2017. Roll-off, compactor and dumpster customers - A make-up collection day for customers with service nor- mally scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2017 will occur on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Nor-
mal service schedules will re- sume on Monday, April 17, 2017.
Curbside cart customers - Service for commercial garbage customers with 95/65 gallon cart service will resume on the next scheduled service day (Tuesday, April 18, 2017). Recycling collec- tion will resume on Friday, April 21, 2017.
All other cart customers- Collection will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal service schedules will resume on Monday, April 17, 2017.
McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will be closed on Friday, April 14, 2017 and will re-open on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Faith Christian Academy of Central Tampa will have open house Tuesday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 18th, 6-8 p.
m. The school is slated to open to kindergarten to 5th grade students in August, 2017. The school is located at 6907 N. Nebraska Ave.

HCC Dance Program
Hillsborough Community College, Dance Program at 1505 East Palm Ave in Ybor City, Tampa, will host a Mid- dle School Dance Day on Fri- day, April 21st, 2017, from 9 a. m. – 1 p. m., featuring a dance class with the award- winning faculty, a tour of the beautiful facilities, and a mini-performance presented by the dance students at the Mainstage Theater.
The event will also include a question and answer period, and lunch as part of the dance outreach efforts. The event is free!
