Deputies Respond To Shots Fired
Wounded In
Drive-By
Shooting
Tampa Police are investigat- ing a drive-by shooting that left a teenager wounded.
At 12:45 p. m. Sunday after- noon, police said a 15-year-old was shot in the hand and leg by unknown suspects who fired from a moving vehicle. The shooting took place in the 3200 block of East Lindell, and police said the teenager was trans- ported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No motive was established for the shooting.
On May 24th at 11:13 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a call of shots fired at 13705 Lazy Oaks Drive. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle and the residence with several gunshot holes. They also encountered an armed person at the scene.
A deputy fired one shot, missing the armed individual, but the suspect dropped his weapon.
Deputies said that person lives at the residence and re- fused to cooperate with the in- vestigation. Deputies also said it’s unclear as to what occurred at the scene prior to their ar- rival.
One man inside the house was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Broward County.

ministrative leave pending the administrative investigation.
The suspect taken into cus- tody was identified as Widgi Marcelin, 26. He’s being held on warrants for third degree grand theft and criminal use of personal identification. He was also identified as a member of the Haitian gang known as Zoe Pound.
Detention Deputy Accused Of Exposing Himself
A Polk County Sheriff’s Of- fice detention deputy facing charges of indecent exposure and tampering in a misde- meanor proceeding resigned Friday after he was charged.
Dexter Jerome Hill, 44, was a Lieutenant and supervi- sor at the south County Jail. He had been with the Sheriff’s Of- fice for 19 years.
Hill reportedly made lewd comments and exposed him- self while at work in front of a female employee at the jail in February. The woman said she felt intimidated and was afraid of Hill.
Hill later contacted the woman in an effort to hinder the investigation, according to
the affidavit.
Hill was arrested and
booked into the Polk County Jail and released after posting $1,500 bail.

West Tampa Teenager Shot While Standing On Bus Stop
Tampa Police report that at 4 p. m. Friday, Patdal Reed, 18, was standing at a bus stop on the south side of Main Street when someone standing on the north side of the street next to 1105 Main Street started shooting at him.
Reed fled west to avoid being shot, and the suspect re- portedly fired several shots at Reed, who was not struck.
Investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting and identify the sus- pect in the case.

Driver In Fatal Accident Charged With DUI
ANTHONY BROWN .....arrested and charged
with DUI in the accident.
The St. Petersburg Police Department reports that at 3:50 a. m. Sunday, a truck driven by Anthony Scott Brown, 49, was traveling west on 5th Avenue, South. A Toyota driven by Andrew Mitchell, 26, was traveling north on 34th Street South. Doneisha Bowens, 22, was the front passenger in the Toyota.
Police said Brown failed to stop and ran the red light, causing a collision with the passenger side of the Toyota.
After the accident, Brown fled the scene on foot and was arrested a short distance away

by an officer after a brief strug- gle. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated then released into po- lice custody.
Mitchell and Bowens were transported to a local hos- pital to be treated for their in- juries. Bowens later died.
Brown was charged with DUI manslaughter, driving with a suspended license with death involved, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, vehicular homicide and battery on a law enforcement officer.
Carjacker Abandons Van With Sleeping
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on May 24th at 11:09 p. m., Susan Davidson, 61, stopped at the Marathon Station on Branch Forbes Road and Interstate 4 for some gas.
She got out of her van, leav- ing the keys inside, along with her 2 and 4-year-old grandchil- dren.
Deputies said a masked man walked up and got into the van and drove off with her grand- children sleeping in their car seats.
The van was found aban- doned on the side of the road at 11:29 p.m., a half mile north of the gas station. The children were still in their car seats and they were not injured.
The only description of the man is that his face was cov- ered.

Police Respond To
Call Of Shots Fired, Find Dead Teenager
St. Petersburg Police re- sponded to a call of shots being heard in the area of 54th Av- enue, North and I-275 at 1:10 a. m. Sunday morning.
When they arrived, they found a silver Lexus stopped in the north bound exit ramp of I- 275 at 54th Avenue, North. Dontriele Waller, 17, was found inside the vehicle suffer- ing from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they don’t believe this was a random act, but are still investigating the shooting. No suspects have
been identified or arrested at this time.
