Prayers are requested for Anthony Harris. He is cur- rently in ICU at Tampa Gen- eral Hospital. He was the Director of Progress Village Park and Recreation for many years and was a former teen Villager. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Prayer requests for the vic- tims in the mass shooting at Club Rayne.

Progress Village is mourn- ing one of our own, Ms. Freida Washington, who passed on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Please keep her family in your prayers.
Our sympathy is sent to Forrest Carr’s family. He was an employee and friend of the WFLA broadcasting family also. He will be greatly missed.

Congratulations Coach Ted received some
happy news from Chuck Tubbs that Riley won the Black Community Leader of Visual Arts Project at her mid- dle school. She was selected as the only winner district wide for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. She is expected to make a presentation at the Tampa Museum of Art on February 15th with the awards ceremony on the 16th at the School Board Meeting. Coach Ted was thanked for taking an interest
and supporting Riley, Ted teaches Chess classes at Riverview Library on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each monthfrom10a.m.–12p.m. at no cost.
The High Noon Prayer Band’s 27th anniversary was celebrated with a luncheon at Bahama Breeze on January 19th.
Congratulations to Mo, she did it again! Morgan Celeste Pratt made straight A’s, Citi- zenship and Perfect Atten- dance. She is also the Captain of the Packwood Panthers Step Team who placed 3rd in the Elementary School Cate- gory at the National Step Competition. She is the daughter of George and Marcia Pratt in Jacksonville, FL.

Meals On Wheels And Produce On Wheels
Linda Washington has joined forces with Meals On Wheels and is now on the Board of Directors.
She is the HR Benefits Su- pervisor for Coca Cola Re- freshments and she also serves as the President of Progress Village Civic Council. She has been very helpful to our mis-
sion. Meals On Wheels is hon- ored to have her join the Board.
Thanks to the many volun- teers who helped with Produce on Wheels deliveries, it was a big success! USF College, Suncoast C. U., BJ’s New Tampa, Women’s Club, The Girl Scouts volunteers. Thanks to Publix who provided the paper bags.

The event is free to the pub- lic and will also provide food, parking, prizes and health screening. Prostate exam vouchers will be given out for screening (no on-site testing).
