Student Arrested After Gun Found On Bus
Arrest Made In Mini Mart Shooting
Female Suspect Sought In Bank Robbery
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Wednesday at 8:35 a. m., their office received a 9-1-1 call from someone who said a rela- tive was on a school bus head- ing for Brandon Alternative School, and had sent a text saying another student was loading a gun on his lap.
At the time of the call, the bus was at Harney Road and Highway 301. The witness continued to text updates to the caller, providing a clothing description of the student, as well as the location where he tried to hide the gun (4 seats behind the driver).
Deputies made contact with the school bus at Highway 92, just east of Highway 579. All 7 students aboard the bus were evacuated, and deputies re- ported finding a 9mm hand- gun, a magazine loaded with 12 rounds, and a black ski mask.

Deputies later discovered the handgun had been re- ported stolen out of Temple Terrace.
Jamarcus Simms, 18, was arrested, and charged with possession of a firearm on school property, carrying a concealed firearm, and posses- sion of cannabis. His bond is set at $4,500.

The Sarasota Police Depart- ment has announced the arrest of 49-year-old Terrence Man- ley on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The charge came as a result of a shooting Tuesday night at the Star Mini Mart, 2950 North Washington Boulevard.
Police said Manley and the victim were arguing over a woman when the shooting oc- curred.
Police said the victim, who was not identified, suffered a leg wound and was treated and re- leased at the scene.
This is a surveillance photo of a woman suspected of robbing a Plant City bank.
Plant City Police are seeking help in finding a woman ac- cused of robbing the Sunshine State Bank, 2400 James L. Redman Parkway on Wednes- day afternoon.
Police said the woman en- tered the bank around 5:30 p.m. and demanded money from an employee before flee- ing on foot.
The woman is described as a white female, 40-to-45 years old, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, and a black beanie type hat. She was also carrying a large vinyl or leather looking bag with carry handles.

13-Year-Old Accidentally Killed By Cousin On Hoverboard
Home Invasion Suspect Surrenders To Police
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Thurs- day, a home invasion suspect turned himself in to authori- ties.
Anthony Stephens, Jr., 19, was being sought on a home invasion that occurred in Holiday last month. Stephens has been charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm, aggravated as- sault, and auto burglary with simple battery/assault.
The charges are the result of a January 28th home invasion at 3326 Garfield drive in which it is alleged three people entered the home and threat-

ened the occupants.
Hakeem Hayes, 18, was arrested earlier for attempted home invasion and the home owner, Karen Clark, 33, was arrested on drug and child neglect charges. Another resi- dent, Colton Conrad, 19, was arrested on felon in pos- session of ammunition, mari- juana possession and violation of probation charges. A pair of juveniles in the house were also arrested for possession of marijuana.
During the incident, one of the residents tried to shoot the suspects with his shotgun, but hit a 16-year-old female in the chest area.

Orlando Police are report- ing that a 13-year-old teenager was killed after his cousin fell from a hoverboard, causing a gun to discharge into the back of the boy’s head.
Lavardo Fisher was pro- nounced dead Monday night after he was transported to a local hospital in critical condi- tion. The shooting took place Saturday at a relative’s home.
Police said Fisher was play- ing Xbox at the time of the shooting.
His 18-year-old cousin, whose identity was not re-
leased, told deputies he acci- dentally fired the gun when he lost his balance on the hover- board, causing the gun to fire. The cousin said he found the gun under a bed in his brother’s room, police said.
The owner of the gun was identified as 35-year-old Wal- ter Morame, who wasn’t home when the incident oc- curred. He was arrested Sun- day for possessing a weapon as a felon.
Fisher was reportedly the stepson of a sheriff’s deputy.
No charges have been filed against the cousin at this time.
