Some Getting Used To
Speaking Out After George Floyd's Death
Buccaneers fans got a treat the other week when they got their first look of quarterback Tom Brady wearing a Tampa Bay helmet while hit- ting the field with teammates for an informal workout.
But if you thought that was a strange sight, wait until you see Jameis Winston wear- ing a Saints helmet. The for- mer Bucs quarterback, who landed in New Orleans this offseason, has been putting in

lots of time on the field this offseason, looking to improve his game even if he is just tak- ing a backup role with the Saints (for now).
LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick and Stephen Curry are among several high-profile athletes speak- ing out after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after his arrest in Minneapolis.
James on Tuesday night shared a side-by-side image of the officer kneeling on Floyd's neck and Kaeper- nick kneeling on the side- lines during the national anthem. James, who is often vocal about issues fac- ing African Americans, wrote: "Do you understand NOW!!??!!?? Or is it still blurred to you??"
Floyd was a suspect in a forgery case. All four re- sponding officers have now been fired from the force. But, Floyd's family says they want the officers charged.
On Wednesday, James posted a 2014 photo of him- self wearing a black and white "I can't breathe" shirt. Those words were embraced
Andre Drummond Leaves $1,000 Tip For Server At Florida Restaurant
ANDRE DRUMMOND
Andre Drummond is in a much more fortunate finan- cial place than most people, and he is doing his part to spread the love.
Drummond was lauded on social media for leaving a $1,000 tip at a Delray Beach restaurant in Florida over the weekend.
Che, the restaurant, shared a photo on Instagram of Drummond’s receipt, which showed a $1,000 tip on a $164.25 check. The restaurant then shared comments from the server, Kassandra Diaz, who benefited from the tip.
Bucs LB Has Strong Comment On Tom Brady Replacing Jameis Winston
SHAQ would have BARRETT made a big jump, but I think with Brady, it just makes us an automatic con- tender for a Super Bowl. With Jameis, I think we would have been a playoff contender. It would have been still a bat- tle, for sure, and it’s still going to be a battle now, but having Tom, I think we’re going to be over the edge, and everything on paper looks perfect. We
just gotta put the work in.” Off the record, Barrett should keep his mouth shut. Bucs have paid Gronkoski ($10M) more money than re- ceiver Chris Godwin
($2M).

Other sports figures, in- cluding Kaepernick, have spoken out after Floyd's death. The free-agent quar- terback shared a version of James' split image on his Instagram Story that was tweeted by former NFL re- ceiver Nathan Palmer.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors ex- pressed how Floyd's death is a reminder of the "same re- ality we live in."
"George has a family. George didn't deserve to die," Curry said on Insta- gram. “George pleaded for help and was just straight up ignored, which speaks loud and clear that his black life didn't matter. George was murdered. George wasn't human to that cop that slowly and purposefully took his life away."
J. J. Watt of the Hous- ton Texans called the video "disgusting" in an interview with a local television sta- tion. "I don't understand how that situation can't be reme- died in a way that doesn't end in his death," Watt said.
Tampa Bay also had an ex- cellent draft, selecting Tyler Johnson, Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Antoine Win- field, Jr. and Tristan Wirfs. They should all pro- vide an impact this season – assuming they learn the team’s playbook.
Recently, linebacker Shaq Barrett commented on the team’s offseason and sud- denly-high expectations for the 2020 season.
During his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Barrett shared his thoughts on the team’s shift from Jameis Winston to Tom Brady. He believes the offense has im- proved drastically just from this one change.

Here’s what Barrett had to say, from Bleacher Report:

Suh From Walking
Down The Aisle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh re-upped with the team this offseason on another one-year deal that will see the All-Pro return to a squad that ranked first in rush defense last season.
But a new contract with the Bucs comes in second on Suh’s list of offseason high- lights, as he and his fiancée, Katya Leick, took the walk down the aisle and got mar- ried over the weekend.
Not even quarantine dur-
