 Peaceful Protest March
  2,000 Participate In Peaceful Efforts Of Protest
 An estimated crowd of over 2,00o persons united on Sun- day, May 31, 2020, for a peace- ful protest march, recognizing the unjust death of George Floyd in Minnesota. Floyd lost his life at the hands of a police- man’s knee on his neck as he re- peated, “I can’t breathe.”
Hosted by Black Lives Mat- ter!, and Organize Florida, the group walked from the Cyrus Greene Park on Sunday. Many wore masks and carried signs.
The group then went down Martin Luther King Blvd. to Lake Ave., down to 29th St., to 18th Ave., then to 15th St., past Cuscaden Pool, historical Tyer Temple United Methodist Church and Holsey Temple CME Church, returning back to Cyrus Greene Park.
The group was escorted dur- ing the 3-mile march by officers of the Tampa Police Dept., some in riot gear and wearing masks.
Also in the group were mem- bers of the Florida Highway Pa- trol. (Photos and information by Julia Jack- son)

     Larenz Johnson and some of the members of the Tampa Mass Choir joined the march.

     “Black Doctors Matter” – Michael Osunsanmi and JaMia Washington.
 Mona Judge joined the march.
Tracy Lynette Judge also walked with the group.
