Kanye Leaving Tidal Over Money Dispute
Kanye West has decided to leave Jay-Z’s premium streaming service Tidal over a financial dispute.
West’s lawyer reportedly no- tified Tidal in writing a month ago that they believed Tidal was in breach of their contract, and therefore considered his contract terminated.
After two weeks of negotia- tions failed, West’s team reit- erated its position that he was no longer under contract with Tidal. Tidal reiterated their po- sition that he was.
Yeezy claims he is owed money totaling more than $3 million:
• According to West, Tidal was supposed to reimburse him for the cost of making music videos for his album The Life of Pablo, but did not.
Kanye And JAY-Z, were good friends at one time.
• According to Tidal, West was supposed to deliver more music videos to promote the album, but did not.
• According to West, Tidal was supposed to pay him a bonus for the 1.5 million new Tidal subscribers who joined the service while The Life of Pablo was a Tidal exclusive, but did not.
West was one of the original
Tidal artist-owners when the platform relaunched in 2015.
However, the small likeli- hood a new Kanye album would be exclusive to Tidal, Apple Music, or Spotify could be the result of another factor.
Last fall, Universal Music Group reportedly ordered its subsidiaries to stop allowing acts to make exclusive deals with streaming services.

“Every song has to get past her ears, in my eyes. She came by a lot and played a good part in helping us get over hurdles on certain records. Of course, she’s ge-
nius-level with that.”
On ‘4:44,’ Jay delves into

Kendall and Kylie Jen- ner's apology to the many celebs they offended (by using their image for a T-shirt line without permission) just was- n’t good enough for everyone.
Notorious B.I.G.’s estate is still not pleased with the fa- mous sisters, even after they apologized and pulled the line from their site. Biggie’s team released a statement to Peo- ple saying, “While we appreci- ate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved.”
The youngest members of the
Kardashian-Jenner dy- nasty are learning the hard way not to mess with beloved rock and rap icons.
On last Wednesday, sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner debuted $125 T-shirts on their online store featuring images of themselves superimposed over shots of artists like Tupac Shakur, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin.
The statement comes just days after Kendall and Kylie were slammed by a slew of celebs for using their image and likenesses for their new t- shirt line, without consent. Biggie’s mom, Vo-
letta Wallace was the first to call the Jenners out on social media, but she certainly wasn’t the last.
“I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christo- pher to sell a t-shirt,” she wrote alongside an image of one of the shirts.
One Tupac shirt featured their initials on top of the late rapper. Sharon Osbourne also took issue with the shirts, one of which involved Ozzy Osbourne.
Besides their brief social media statement, Kendall and Kylie have yet to speak out about the mishap.
