Bucs Safety Keith Tandy Will Be A Starter In 2017
Spike Lee Calls Out Teams For Not Signing Free Agent Colin Kaepernick
The Bucs addressed the safety position by signing for- mer Cowboy J.J. Wilcox and re-signing Chris Conte. It appears Bradley Mc- Dougald won’t be returning and the Bucs will likely draft a safety within the first two days. That means – as it stands now – Keith Tandy will be a week one starter.
According to the Bucs
KEITH TANDY
news source, Conte was a
depth signing and was a wise decision strictly based on knowledge of the system and a veteran presence.
Tandy finished the year with 41 solo tackles, nine passes defensed, four clutch interceptions, and a fumble recovery. He, like many of the defensive players, continued to improve as the season went on.

Jason Pierre-Paul Reaches New Deal With Giants
JASON PIERRE-PAUL
The New York Giants and star defensive end, USF alum Jason Pierre-Paul have agreed to a four-year contract, the team announced Friday.
Pierre-Paul received a $62 million contract with $40 million guaranteed. The total value of the deal could reach $66 million if incentives are met.
"This is where I wanted to be," Pierre-Paul said. "I couldn't imagine me being anywhere else. I'm back for four years, and I'm ready to get after it.”
New York famed film di- rector Spike Lee has joined the Colin Kaepernick de- bate, suggesting Sunday in an Instagram post that one of his hometown teams -- the New York Jets -- should sign the unemployed quarterback.
"The New York J-E-T-S Need A Quarterback," wrote Lee, who said he spoke with Kaepernick over brunch. "Who Is The J-E-T-S Quar- terback? Is My Man Joe Willie Namath Coming Back? Crazy Times We Live In."
Lee used his post to rail against the NFL for excluding Kaepernick, who ignited a firestorm last fall because he refused to stand for the na-

tional anthem as a way to protest social and racial is- sues.
Lee said it "Smells MAD Fishy To Me, Stinks To The High Heavens" that Kaeper- nick, who opted out of his San Francisco 49ers contract, still doesn't have a job.

Paul Millsap, Kent Bazemore To Miss Time For Hawks With Knee Injuries
The struggling Atlanta Hawks got more bad news: All-Star forward Paul Mill- sap will miss at least two more games with a left knee injury, while guard Kent Bazemore is expected to miss at least a week with a bruised right knee.
The team updated its injury situation Sunday after losing its third straight game the previous night, getting blown out at home by Portland 113-

Dwight Clark, the former 49ers star best known for his leaping TD catch that won the NFC Championship Game in 1982, says he has been diag- nosed with ALS.
He disclosed his diagnosis of the disease, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Sunday in a statement posted on the website of former 49ers owner Ed DeBartolo Jr.
"In September of 2015, I started feeling weakness in my left hand," Clark wrote. "I was mildly paying attention to it because since my playing days, I've constantly had pain in my neck. I was thinking it was related to some kind of nerve damage because it
