Middleton Principal To Meet With Alumni Association
Dr. Kim Moore, Princi- pal of Middleton High School, is requesting tha members of the Middleton High School Alumni Association attend a meeting on Wednesday, at 4 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Media Center at the school.
Among those slated to be in attendance at the meeting includes Area IV Superin- tendent Donell Underdue, Mrs. Doretha Edgecomb, retired School Board mem- ber, and Henry Washing- ton, retiring Area IV Superintendent.
Dr. Moore said, “We are reaching out to all Alumni As- sociation class presidents, vice presidents or an ap- pointed member of each class to come out and collaborate on targeted issues impacting student achievement.
“Middleton High School has always been a pivotal ele- ment in our community and we want to ensure that par- ents and community mem- bers continue to play a vital

role in the student’s educa- tion.
“The Administration and staff are dedicated to provid- ing a quality education in a safe learning environment to all our students. Therefore, we are seeking collaboration with our Alumni family to keep the momentum going,” Dr. Moore said.

Auto Repair Shop Gives Free Brakes For Food Donations
The Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair Shop, 501 East Sligh Avenue, is giving away a free set of brake pads in- cluding the labor to install them, to anyone who brings in 8 Cans or Boxes of non- perishable food. The Putting the Brakes on Hunger cam- paign started this past Mon- day and runs through April 7th and is only valid at the Sligh Avenue location.
Last year, the shop col- lected 885 pounds of food donations or 738 meals worth of food.

president of the Pinellas- based auto repair franchise with 18 locations in five bay area counties said, “We are so proud to partner again with Feeding Tampa Bay. It is a privilege to help facilitate our customer’s support of a local charity that maintains a powerfully positive signifi- cance while conducting chal- lenging important work and making positive impacts in the lives our community’s citizens and families.”
Shop Manager Aaron Turner said, “I can’t wait. With the help of our regular customers and some new friends, we are going to break 1,000 pounds this year.”

Women’s Hall Of Fame Induction Is Friday
The Hillsborough County Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Tampa Convention Center. The luncheon ceremony is scheduled 11:30 a. m.–1p.m.
Three ladies have been chosen for induction: Carol Mor- sani, philanthropist and community leader; the late Gwendolyn Stephenson, the longest serving pres- ident of Hillsborough Community College (1997-2010); and Geraldine McKinnon Twine, defied various barriers in the segregated south, acquired professional credentials, attained academic degrees, and continues to provide valuable volunteer
services to our community.
