MR. WILLIE HERBERT MCWHITE
Celebration of life services for Mr. Willie Herbert, who transitioned on July 7, 2016, will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016, 12 p. m., at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th Street, Tampa, 33610, with Rev. Dr. James L. Gallon, officiating. In- terment in Rest Heaven Memo- rial Cemetery.
Born in High Springs, Florida, to Willie H. and Ophelia McWhite, Sr., Willie McWhite grew up in Valdosta, Georgia, where he was educated in the public school system of Lowndes County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Curtistine McWhite; fa- ther, Willie H. McWhite, Sr.; mother, Ophelia McWhite; grandmother, Gertrude Thomas and aunt, Lucille Thomas.
Willie “Buddy” McWhite is survived by his childhood friend and loving cousin, SJ McWhite; nieces, Angela F., Cacie (Kenny), Billy, Chris (Tameka) Mays all of Leesburg, Fl., Deloris Todd, Emma McNeill, Evelyn Ross, Ollie Williams, Bernell (Wilbur) Armstrong and Sandra (Jim- mie) Purvis all of Tampa; nephews, Eugene and Ike (Sharon) Williams, Johnny, Dorsey and Jerry (Anethia) Sanders; great-nieces, Clara English (Ralph), Barbra and Faye Martin, Joy (Ben) Jest, Yolanda Doster, Angela (Ron, Sr.) Wormack, Tanya, Codgell, Monica Williams, LaDonna (Eric) Penny, Shawnta Hobdy, Kiera Williams, Kim (Beris) Pot- tinger, Peaches Lowman, Zon- dria, Patrea and Danielle Williams, Kesha and Kendra Armstrong, Shamekia, Shonta and Jamaica Sanders, Shameka and Thameka Jackson, Sharhonda, Zhalarina and Se- quoia Sanders, Shanta (Zorre) Wright, Chanise Sanderson; nephews, Joe (Rhonda) Boozy, Larry (Debbie) and Curtis (Ken- nita) Martin, Michael and Rick (Elana) Mobley, Otto (Kathy) Johnson, Robert Perry Jr., David (Brandy) McNeill, David (Veronica) Gallon, Jr., Javon (Larissa) and Javan (Stacy) Jones of Delaware; Andre Hag- gins, Alfonso, Alonzo and Duane Williams, Jeremiah Green, Alvin, Antonio (Gloria) and Andre (Angie) Miller, Javaris Henderson, Dorsey Sanders, Jr., Tahjay Sanders; also a host of great-great and great-great- great nieces and nephews.
He was affectionately known as “Mac” by his many friends that have gone on before him. Special thanks to friend and neighbor of many decades, Ms. Jacquelyn Bell whom kept a watchful eye out on both Uncle Buddy and Aunt Curtistine over years. Special thanks to Rick and the Hospice Ruby Team as well as the Homestead Caregivers.
Visitation will be held Fri- day, July 15, at Jackson Funeral Homefrom4p.m.to6p.m. Family and friends are asked to
assemble at Jackson Funeral Home at 11:45 a. m.

MR. BENNIE F. CHAPPELL, SR.
Mr. Bennie F. Chappell, Sr. of Tampa, passed away Tues- day, July 5, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, July 16 at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating.
Mr. Bennie F. Chappell, Sr. was a native of Brierfield, Ala- bama and was educated in the public schools of Bibb County, Alabama. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ashley, Alabama. He moved to Tampa, over 55 years ago and worked as a truck driver at Waste Management Services in Hillsborough County until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. George Chappell and Mrs. Vera Mae Miles Chappell and brother, Willie George Chappell.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and de- voted wife of 52 years, Altheria F. Chappell; two sons, Ben- jamin Chappell, Jr. and wife, Angie and Prince Chappell; three daughters, Stacey Chap- pell, Elrie Chappell and Reva Chappell, all of Tampa; one sister, Mildred Teamer and husband, Doyle of Huntsville, TX; like a daughter, Shirley Witherspoon, Orlando; god- son, Calvin McFadden and Joseph Chapman, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Fernando Chappell and wife, Nickie, Mario Chappell, Sergio Chap- pell, Ben Chappell, III, Roland Griffin, Jr., Tequando Smith and husband, Desmond, Feli- cia Gaston and Vito Wright; 31 great-grandchildren; a de- voted friend, James Evans and a host of other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, July 15 at Ray Williams Funeral Home. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.

MS. MELISSA DENISE JONES
A Homegoing celebration for Ms. Melissa Denise Jones, will be held Saturday July 16, 2016 at 11 a. m. at First Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3707 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, with Reverend Bruce E. Garmon, Sr. officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Melissa Denise Jones was born on August 26, 1970, to Joseph Jones, Jr. and Carolyn Jean Williams-Jones. Her educa- tion began in Tampa, (on the west-side), and she finished school in Havana, FL, graduating from Havana Northside High School in 1988. She furthered her education with a couple of trades and worked several differ- ent jobs. She found her passion as a Home Health Aide Nurse.
Later in life, she met a man named Sohn Griffin. To this union three beautiful children were born. She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior, and gave her hand in membership to Pas- tor Bruce E. Garmon of First Union Missionary Baptist Church. She fought a good fight, kept her faith and has finished her race.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories of her with: 3 daughters, Tavishia, Shonecia, and Amiracle Griffin; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and de- voted friends, including her church family.
There will be a viewing from 5-8 P. M. The family will receive friends from 7-8 P. M., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, 33605
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at ap- proximately 10:45 A. M. Saturday for the service.

Ms. Jennie McVely of Tampa passed away Friday, July 8, 2016. A Memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, July 20 at 10 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, 33610.
Ms. Jennie McVely was a native of Alto, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three nieces, Becky Perry of Bethlehem, GA, Joyce Hilt of Brentwood, TN and Betty Williams of Toccoa, GA; stepdaughters, Theresa Clark and spouse, Bernard Clark and Patricia Malphus and spouse, Wilbert Malphus; special friends, Jim Liles, Lil- lie Martin, Deacon Albert Bell and Patsy Williams and spouse, Willie Floyd Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends.

MR. JOHNNY C. BUIE, SR.
Funeral services for Johnny C. Buie, Sr., “JC,” will be held Sat- urday, July 19th at 12 noon at the New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Av- enue, Tampa, FL. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, Tampa.
Johnny C. Buie, Sr. was born in Stillmore, GA and later moved to Tampa. He was born to the late Clarence and Bertha Buie. He received his education from the Hillsborough County Public School System and worked for many years with Anderson Sur- gery Supply, Musselmasteel, and Corselab Structures.
JC was preceded in death by: his sisters, Parrish McKethan and Pauline Posley; brother, James Buie; brothers-in-law, Robert McKethan, Eugene Mur- phy, and Walter Huston; sons, Sean Reed-Buie and Lester Davis; and uncle, James Wash- ington.
Johnny, Sr. was a man who loved and adored by his chil- dren, grandchildren, and family. He enjoyed travelling back home to Stillmore, GA to spend time with his family who still live there. Also, in his spare time he made grills as a hobby.
