It’s 4 a. m. and Michael Lee is already up starting his day. As the General Manager of Mer- cedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel, Lee starts his day before a lot of people get out of bed.
He is at the gym at 5 a. m. and ready to start work at 6 a. m., leading an elite team of sales pro- fessionals and support staff in his goal of provid- ing a world-class experience for all of his customers, whether they are buying a Mercedes or a premium pre-owned vehicle of any make.
Michael Lee, however, didn’t plan to be in the car business.
As a young man trying to find his way, he started selling cars to make a living while decid- ing on his future. Before too long he realized that selling cars became more than a way to make money. It was a way to help people find solu- tions.
As his interest in people grew, so did his ca- reer. As he rose through the ranks, helping peo- ple and helping his fellow associates, he became more and more passionate about both customer service and employee service.
Lee’s intense work ethic soon earned him the position of Vice-President of New Car Sales at Lexus of Tampa. He was at Lexus for 16 years.
Recognized by parent company AutoNation, Lee was elevated to run a dealership, and was

named General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel.
Lee’s ultimate goal is to get to a higher level within the corporate structure of a large, publicly traded company.
As a young man of color, Lee decided early that he would always be the hardest worker in the room, all while raising a teenaged daughter.
Lee refused to accept that anyone was better than him, and because he backed that up with an exceptional work ethic, he was able to overcome any obstacle in his way.
There is no doubt of his continued success.
