Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sarah Evans Edwards will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Exciting Faith Alive Church, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33619. Pastor An- tonio R. Hawkins will officiate.
Mrs. Sarah Evans Edwards was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2018, as her loving Pastor, Antonio Hawkins along with her dear family sur- rounded her bedside with songs and prayer.
Mrs. Edwards was born May 5, 1944 in Waynesboro (Burke County) Georgia to the parentage of Dave and Melvina Evans who both preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by the following: daughter, Mar- garet Ann Lewis; son, Michael Troy Evans; 4 grandchildren, Machel Evans, Jr., Lashawn Roberts, Ash- ley Demeus, Raketha Cenecharles; 2 brothers, Jimmy Evans, Dave Evans; nephew, David Quarter- man.
Leaving to cherish memories: daughter, Tina Edwards; son, John Evans; grandchildren, Daniella Brookins, Demetrous Edwards (Amissa), Devaris Edwards, Mar- cus Lewis, Devontae Currie, Iresha Roberts, Michael Evans, III, M. T. Evans, C. J. The viewing will be held Fri- day, August 17 at Exciting Faith Alive Church from 6-8 p. m.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the church by 1:45 p. m.

Man Dies After Being Struck
Police Seek Man Using Stolen Credit Card

The Tampa Police De- partment is asking the pub- lic’s help in identifying a suspect. The man used a stolen credit card.
According to police, on August 1st, the man was caught on video using the credit card at the Speedway Gas Station, 10001 N. Florida Avenue. He attempted to use it again later than day at the Food Maxx Store, 9901 N. 16th Street, but the transac- tion was declined.

A 47-year -old man died after being struck by a vehicle late Wednesday.
The accident took place in the 1300 block of East Hills- borough Avenue.
According to police, Melvin Allen, of Tampa, was walking westbound on the sidewalk around 11 p. m. He reportedly stepped off the sidewalk and into the road- way and was struck by a 2005 Kia Optima.
Allen was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The

driver remained at the scene and has not been charged in the accident.

     Drug Deal Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured
Vehicle crashed into apartment after shooting.

   Gunfire erupted in a park- ing lot Wednesday leaving one person dead and at least three others injured. The shooting took place at the Ridgestone Apartment Com- plex shortly before 8 p.m.
When deputies with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrived at 11325 Little Road, they discovered that one per- son had died and at least three others were injured by gunfire. Two of those individ- uals were in serious condi- tion. Deputies are searching for a fourth victim.
Some of those injured by gunfire were found inside a vehicle that had crashed into the side of a building. All of those inside the white sedan suffered from gunshot wounds.
Information about the shooting was sketchy at press time and none of the names of the victims had been re- leased. However, police said they believe the shooting is the result of a drug deal gone bad.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
A former professional boxer is accused of punching a teenager during an alterca- tion. The incident took place Monday in Pasco County.
According to police, An- tonio Tarver, 49, former world champion boxer, al- legedly punched his girl- friend’s son in the face. The quarrel developed after Aziya Taylor reportedly did not have enough money to pay for his meal at the Waffle House.
Taylor told police that Tarver began arguing with him and later punched him in the face. The teenager also said Tarver tried to prevent

him from leaving after the at- tack.
Tarver was arrested and charged with battery. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
