Steve Harvey Says He Has No Interest In Hosting The Oscars
Rick Ross To Appear On Irv Gotti’s 'TALES' Season 2
When ET caught up with Steve Harvey on Friday, he shut down any speculation that he’d step in and host the Oscars stage now that Kevin Hart has stepped down.
“Oh no, I can’t host the Os- cars,” he insisted. “Hell, if they won’t let Kevin Hart host the Oscars, how the hell are they going to let me host the Os- cars?”
“I don’t want to host the Os- cars because I don’t want them

digging up my past,” he joked.
Looks like the bawse Rick Ross is adding another gig to his filmography. According to Billboard, the MMG capo will star in the second season of Irv Gotti’s TALES — an an- thology series that tells stories inspired by some of Hip Hop’s biggest classics.
“I’m telling y’all right now, Rick Ross can act,” Gotti tweeted. “He stole the scene he was in.”
Ross will join Scarface, co- median DeRay Davis, Em- pire actress Grace Byers and more as cast members. The se- ries will bring songs like Nas’ “I Gave You Power,” Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” and Geto

Gotti told Billboard, “TALES season 2 with BET promises to be even bigger and more entertaining than the
first season. We had some in- credible breakthroughs with season one, but fans should look for surprises and big guest appearances for season 2.”
TALES returns to BET on April 23.
Rae Sremmurd have got- ten into the holiday spirit by creating their own Christmas records.
Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee have each released their own solo tracks, which are ti-
tled “Nothing For Christ- mas” and “Christmas at Swae’s” respectively. While Jxmmi’s cut features some high-energy rapping, Swae opts to sing on his holiday tune.
A Houston judge has re- portedly issued a bench war- rant for Tekashi 6ix9ine’s arrest despite his current in- carceration. The controversial rap figure was expected to ap- pear in court on Thursday (De- cember 20) for an alleged assault that went down at H- Town’s Galleria Mall in Janu- ary.
According to TMZ, the judge knew about 6ix9ine’s situa- tion but simply followed proto- col and issued the warrant anyway. The Brooklyn-bred artist was accused of choking 16-year-old Santiago Albar- ran during a scuffle at the mall.

picture following an October hearing. Albarran ultimately decided he didn’t want to pros- ecute.
6ix9ine’s attorney, Carl Moore, refused to strike a
plea deal because he believes the case should be dropped. Taking a plea would also result in a conviction, which would hurt 6ix9ine’s pending fed- eral case.
Travis Scott To Perform At

Maroon 5 finally found a rapper to join them for the Super Bowl LIII halftime show when Travis Scott signed on to perform. But some of Scott’s peers don’t necessarily believe that’s something to celebrate. The NFL has been under fire since ostracizing former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaeper- nick for protesting the National Anthem in support of social jus- tice.
According to Variety, Scott’s decision isn’t sitting well with JAY-Z, who has been vocal about his stance against the NFL. Two sources reportedly said Hov is trying to dissuade Scott from going through with the performance.
Meanwhile, Meek Mill sim- ply doesn’t understand it.

The Championships architect addressed the news via Twitter on Thursday (December 20).
“For what?” he wrote. “He don’t need that he on fire al- ready! Stay strong in this s*%t!”
J. Cole’s latest studio album, KOD, has officially reached platinum status with- out a single feature aside from Cole’s alter-ego, Kill Ed- ward. Chart Data tweeted the announcement on Thursday morning (December 20).
