Bill Cosby Had ‘The Most Racist And Sexist’ Trial In U. S. History, Publicist Says
Bill Cosby is a victim of racism and sexism, his publi- cist said in a lengthy defense of the 81-year-old comedian that included a comparison to the persecution of Jesus Christ.
Andrew Wyatt read a statement from his cell-phone while addressing the media outside of a Pennsylvania courtroom Tuesday (Sept. 26), moments after Judge Steven O’Neill sentenced Cosby to three to 10 years in prison. “This has been the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States,” declared Wyatt.
He also called Cosby “one of the “greatest civil rights leaders” and “one of the greatest educators of men and boys,” in the last 50 years.
“This was not pointed out to the jury or allowed in court because the racist and sexist mass media was attacking and denouncing Dr. Cosby whenever his lawyers even hinted that there was racism and sexism present,” he said. “All three of the psychologists who testified against Dr. Cosby were white women who make money off of accus- ing black men of being sexual predators.”
The nearly three-minute statement included a nod to Brett Kavanaugh — the Supreme Court nominee ac- cused of sexual assault. Ka- vanaugh and Cosby are both victims of the “sex war,” Wyatt said. Further in the speech, Wyatt confirmed plans to appeal the sentence and prove that prosecutors “falsified” evidence in order

to convict Cosby .
Despite being taken into
custody immediately after court, Cosby is doing “great” because he’s protected by God, Wyatt said. “He knows that these are lies.”
“They persecuted Jesus and look what happened,” Wyatt added. “Not saying Mr. Cosby is Jesus, but we know what this country has done to black men for cen- turies. So, Mr. Cosby’s doing fine, he’s holding up well and everybody who wants to say anything nega- tive, you’re a joke as well.”
In April, Cosby was con- victed on multiple counts of drugging and raping Andrea Constand during a 2004 as- sault. In addition to prison time, the Cosby Show star will have to register as a sex- ual predator for life.
Although Camille Cosby was noticeably absent from the courtroom when her hus- band was sentenced, she showed a united front in a statement read through her spokesperson denying that Cosby received a “fair trial.”
Flake Says If FBI Investigation Finds Kavanaugh Lied, Nomination Is Over
(CNN) Sens. Jeff Flake and Chris Coons said in an interview that aired Sunday that if the FBI investigation into sexual assault and mis- conduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh finds that the judge lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee during his testimony on Thursday, his nomination likely would not move forward.
"If Kavanaugh is shown to have lied to the committee, nomination's over?" Scott Pelley of CBS's "60 Minutes" asked Flake, an Arizona Re- publican, and Coons, a Delaware Democrat, who are friends.
"Oh yes," Flake said, nod- ding.
Coons added, "I would think so."
Just as Republicans on the Judiciary Committee were about to favorably recom- mend the confirmation of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court on Friday, Flake had a change of heart.
Flake voted for Ka- vanaugh to move out of the committee, but said he would

not vote for the nominee on the Senate floor without an FBI investigation of the sex- ual assault and misconduct allegations made against him.
Kavanaugh has vehe- mently denied the allega- tions.
Flake made his decision after a dramatic confronta- tion with two female protes- tors, Ana Maria Archila and Maria Gallagher, who blocked the door of his eleva- tor before the committee meeting.
Hours later, Flake tapped
Coons on the shoulder, and the two retreated to a private anteroom. An hour of frantic behind-the-scenes negotia- tions ensued, ending when Flake emerged and dropped the bombshell that he wanted an FBI investigation before he would vote on Ka- vanaugh's nomination on the Senate floor.
Asked if he would have done that if he were running for reelection, Flake, who has announced his retirement from the Senate, immediately said, "No. Not a chance."
Silenced Clarence Thomas Accuser Speaks Out On Kavanaugh Hearing: ‘We’re Headed Down The Same Path’

When Thomas arrived at the Supreme Court in the fall of 1991 after a bruising confir- mation hearing in which his former employee Anita Hill accused him of sexual harass- ment, fellow justice Byron White said something that stuck with him. “It doesn’t mat- ter how you got here. All that matters now is what you do here,” Thomas recounted in his 2007 memoir, “My Grand- father’s Son.”(AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais, File)
A woman who accused Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment nearly three decades ago said she sees some similarities with current high

court nominee Brett Ka- vanaugh whose fate hangs in the balance amid an FBI inves- tigation into sexual assault al- legations.
The woman, Angela Wright, worked for Thomas when he chaired the U. S. Equal Employment Opportu- nity Commission in the 1980s. During a recent interview with Vice News, she expressed em-
pathy for Christine Blasey Ford, a California college pro- fessor who testified Thursday that Kavanaugh sexually as- saulted her.
Angela Wright, a former colleague of Clarence Thomas, in 1991.
Ford tearfully told a Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday that she believed Kavanaugh “was going to rape me,” and “100 percent” certain that he attacked her at a party when they both were teenagers 36 years ago. Kavanaugh denies the allegations. The committee voted to move Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the full Senate pending an FBI investigation.
Wright said she initially didn’t see much of a compari- son between Thomas’ and Kavanaugh’s hearings, but that changed after hearing more about Ford and a second accuser, Deborah Ramirez.
