RAY WILLIAMS
MR. EARL FLINN
A final tribute in memory of the life of Earl Flinn, will be held Saturday, February 14,2015,at11a.m.atMt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 West Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Born July 19, 1931, in Clay- ton, Alabama, to Thomas Z. Flinn and Mamie Lou Smith, Earl spent his formative years there and was educated in the public schools of Bar- bour County.
Upon coming of age, Earl left Barbour County to pur- sue better employment and independence. This pursuit led him to many states and a variety of occupations; the last of which was in Fair- banks, Alaska, where he worked on the Pipeline be- fore moving to Tampa. In Tampa, he started his own lawn care business which he operated for more than twenty years before retiring in 2010.
Earl’s earthly journey ended Saturday, February, 7, 2015.
He joined family who pre- ceded him in death, which in- cluded: his parents, “T. Z.” and Mamie; grandparents who reared him, Dan and Ina Flinn; stepmother, Lillie Mae Flinn; brother, Thomas “Tom” Flinn, Jr.; sister, Lula Bell Byrd; and stepdaughter, Barbara Jackson-Hills.
He will be fondly remem- bered by: his devoted wife, Annie Grace Flinn; stepchil- dren, Robert Young, Jr. (Inger), and Sharon Ander- son; stepson-in-law, Ronald Hills, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Glo- ridine McNair, Alma McMil- lan and Nancy Sutton; brothers-in-law, Charles Henderson and Wesley McMillan; a very special cousin, Marie Dubose; a most supportive friend, Carl Lofton; step-grand and great grandchildren; nephews, nieces, numerous cousins, friends, extended family, AND long-time clients; and the Mt. Tabor Church Fam- ily.
There will a wake at Mt. Tabor M. B. Church from 6-8 p. m., Friday, February 13, 2015.

MRS. QUEEN E. CUMMINGS GASKIN
Mrs. Queen E. Cummings Gaskin of Tampa, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Febru- ary14,2015,at11a.m.at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 North Willow Avenue, with Reverend Ray- ford Harper, pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will take place in Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on February 16th.
She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Addie Wallace, Clifford Ray, Rose Morris, Stella Walker, Al- berta Mosley, Eddie Fluker and Kathy Graham; grand- children, Kelvin Morris, Bernard Wallace, Derrick Morris, Shelia Morris, Mar- low Gaskin, Taurus Gaskin, Wanda Jansen, Darren Mosley, Damon Mosley, Richard Scott Walker and Er- icka Wallace; 20 great grand- children; beloved nieces, Sadie Seay, Elouise Brown, Dorothy Banks and Mel- bourne Cummings; nephews, Eddie B. MS. SHELIA JEANETTE GODFREY
A homegoing celebration for Ms. Shelia Jeanette God- frey, who departed this life on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, with Dr. C. T. Kirkland, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa.
Shelia was born on De- cember 2, 1961, to Rosa Lee Hermitt and the late Gent Lee Godfrey, Sr. Shelia was a native of Tampa and at- tended Hillsborough County Public Schools. She was a free spirited person and a best friend to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Gent Lee God- frey, Sr.; step-father, Glen Hermitt; grandmother, Janie Mention; and grandfather, Morosa Mention.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her loving mom, Rosa Lee Hermitt of Tampa; her only daughter, Frederica Ponder; sons, Joshua Powell and Warren Bowen (Alethea); grand- daughters, Deaerra Williams, Janai Powell, and Jayla Bowen; grandson, Jude Bowen; sisters, Linda Godfrey, Gladys Godfrey, both of Detroit, MI, Cynthia Altine and Charlotte Waters of Tampa, and Marlean Her- mitt; brothers, James Ander- son, Jr. of Germany, Gent Lee Godfrey, Jr., Matiland Hermitt and Marlon Hermitt of Tampa; nieces, Kimberly (Rodney) Hemmingway, Jacquelyn Chapman, Felecia Causey of Tampa, Toya (Clifton) Foster, Tiffany God- frey, Takeyah Godfrey of Texas; nephews, Herman (Quiana) Harris, Jackie Chapman, Jr. of Tampa, and James Anderson, III of Ger- many; lifelong friends, Crys- tal Walker, Valerie Bass, Ella Rose Chapman and Beverly Clayton; special friends, Alton Bowen and Greg Bee- man; and a host of other sor- rowing relatives and friends.

MRS. ANNIE L. ROBINSON
Mrs. Annie L. Robinson of Tampa, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Febru- ary14,2015,at2p.m.atNew Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 North Ne- braska Avenue, Pastor Theodis Lane. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park.
Mrs. Annie L. Robinson was born August 7, 1933, in Colquitt, GA, to Annie Pearl Mackey, and Charles James Mackey.
Laverne is survived by: her husband of 55 years, Henry Robinson; sister, Mae- clois Nadine Mackey; 5 daughters Cynthia McMillon, Mattie Smith, Marie Carlyle (Larry), Rhonda Kirkland (Lloyd), and Maya Hamilton (Harvey); son, Greg Robin- son (Angelena); 28 grand- children; brother-in-law, Sonny Brown; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Mackey family moved to Sanford, FL, where she graduated from All Girls High School, located in Philadelphia, PA.
The family later moved to New York in 1954 where she started her career path work- ing for Suffolk State Hospital for the mentally challenged. She worked at the hospital for over 20 years, while run- ning her own beauty salon. She eventually moved to the
Tampa Bay area with her husband, Henry in the 1970s. To All those who knew her, she was Laverne the bus driver, and a true entrepre- neur, who was also a mar- velous baker and cook. Laverne has owned a bou- tique, made and sold ceram- ics, dabbled in real estate, owned a restaurant, and was a great floral designer that specialized in wedding arrangements. Laverne was well rounded and educated. She was a loving, helpful, generous woman who would lend a helping hand to any- one—-she knew no strangers. One could often find her in her yard with the many cit- rus trees, flowers, and pep-
per bushes.
Laverne was the biological
mother of 12 children, but a mother to so many more. She has raised several children in the family who had parents that passed away, or were just having parenting diffi- culties. Our childhood home was truly a loving place due to the matriarch of our fam- ily Annie Laverne Robinson, and that is what her house has remained.
She worked for Hillsbor- ough School Board as a bus driver for more than 30 years. Laverne is a member of Highland Pines Baptist Church, and the Long Island chapter OES.
She is preceded in death by: her mother, Annie Mackey; father, Charles James Mackey; sister, Ida Pearl Mackey; and 4 broth- ers, Solomon Mackey, Charles Mackey, Andrew Mackey, and Walter Lee Mackey.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, Febru- ary 13, 2015, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
