The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising con- sumers not to eat recalled eggs produced by Rose Acre Farms’ Hyde County Farm. According to Rose Acre Farms’ recent recall notice, these eggs are sold under multiple brand names, including Coburn Farms, Country Daybreak, Food Lion, Glenview, Great Value, Nelms, and Sunshine Farms. Recalled eggs were also sold to restaurants.
FDA testing has determined that these eggs are connected to 22 cases of Salmonella Braenderup infections. After learning that all of the people who became ill ate eggs or egg dishes, FDA was able to trace back the source of some of the eggs to the Rose Acre Farms’ Hyde County farm. FDA investigators then inspected the farm and collected samples for testing. FDA analysis of the samples revealed that the same strain of Salmonella Braenderup that caused the ill- nesses was present at the Hyde County Egg facility, tying the facil- ity to the illnesses.
As a result of these findings and discussions between FDA and the firm, Rose Acre Farms has voluntarily recalled eggs from the farm in Hyde County, North Carolina. If anyone has the recalled eggs in their home, they should not eat them.

SALT
Many packaged and pre-made foods contain excessive amounts of salt and other preserva- tives in order to promote longer shelf lives. Re- fined salt is high in addi- tives and chemicals that
disrupt the fluid balance in the body. Pay attention to what’s in your food. Avoid junk food and microwave- able meals. If you want to use salt when cooking, re- place your table salt with Pink Himalayan sea salt.
RED AND PROCESSED MEATS
REFINED CARBOHYDRATES
White flour prod- ucts such as breads and crackers, white rice, white potatoes and many cereals are re- fined carbohydrates. Studies have shown that processed carbs may be one of the main
causes of obesity and other chronic conditions. These foods have a high glycemic index. They fuel the pro- duction of AGE, which stimulates inflammation.
ALCOHOL
If your joints hurt, then your body is in an inflammatory state. What you eat may not only increase inflammation, it can also set you up for other chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease and dia- betes. Here are 8 inflammation triggers in foods you may be eating.
Alcohol isn’t just hard on your liver. Excessive alcohol con- sumption also has a negative ef- fect on joint pain. Beer con-tains purines. These are converted into uric acid in the body, which is ex- tremely detrimental to joint pain. Beer also contains gluten, which can be harmful to fragile joints.
Both red and processed meats contain purine and nitrate. These chemicals aggravate pain and in- flammation in the body. Studies have shown that red and processed meats not only trigger inflamma- tion, they also support cancer growth.
DAIRY PRODUCTS
For most people, dairy is a highly inflammatory food. Studies have shown that the majority of adults have at least some difficulty digesting milk, whether they know it or not. Making dairy a large part of your diet can trigger an inflammatory re- sponse.
MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE
Monosodium glutamate or MSG is a flavor-enhancing additive that is most commonly found in soy sauce and Asian foods. But it can also be found in fast food meals, prepared soups and soup mixes, salad dressings and deli meats. MSG can trigger inflammation in the body and worsen joint pain.
CORN OIL
Many snacks and baked goods contain corn oil or other oils that are high in omega-6 fatty acids. Studies have shown that these oils can lead to inflammation. Avoid soy, peanuts, salad dressings and grape seed oil. Replace foods containing omega-6 fatty acids with anti-inflamma- tory omega-3 alternatives such as olive oil, nuts, pumpkin seeds and flax seeds.
