Man Surrenders
Teenager, Man Sought After Robbery Turns Deadly
After Critically
Wounding Woman
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 17-year-old teenager in connection with a murder. The murder took place last Thursday in a North Tampa apartment complex.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Kaliyah Ronell-Marquee Everett, of Tampa. Everett is de- scribed as a Black male, about 5’8” and weighing approxi- mately 125 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He also has tattoos on his chest that says “Truly Blessed.”
He is wanted for first-de- gree murder, attempted armed robbery, and aggra- vated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 7 p.m., on Thursday, December 31st, deputies received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting at the Oak Bend Apartment Complex. When deputies arrived in the 1700 block of University Woods Place, they discovered that a 19-year-0ld man had been shot at least once.

A 24-year-old was arrested early on New Year’s Day and transported to the Hillsbor- ough County Jail. He report- edly admitted to shooting a woman on New Year’s Day.
According to Tampa Police, operators received a 9-1-1 call shortly after 3 a.m., Friday. The caller told the operator that someone had just been shot at the corner of Nebraska Avenue and F0wler Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a 36- year-old woman in the parking lot of the Citgo Quik Mart, 11710 N. Nebraska Avenue. The woman, identified as Ms. Jessica D. McIntyre, of Tampa.
Tampa Fire Rescue re- sponded to the scene and Ms. McIntyre was transported to Tampa General Hospital. Fol- lowing surgery, Ms. McIn- tyre was listed in stable condition.
While investigating the shooting, police received a sec- ond call about an hour later. This time, the call was from a man who allegedly admitted to shooting someone on Ne- braska and that he wanted to surrender.

Justin Lander King, also of Tampa. Detectives met with King and after an interview, charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. King was released later that night after posting a $7,500 bond.
Police did not release any information about what led to the shooting. Ms. McIntyre’s condition was listed as stable following surgery.
Police said the victim and suspect did not know each other and the investigation is continuing.

police determined that at least two Black males were ob- served leaving after the shoot- ing. They later determined that Everett was one of the suspects. The second suspect has not been identified.
Larry McKinnon, spokesperson for the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice said no additional information will be released at this time. However, the inves- tigation is continuing and it remains an active investiga- tion.
