Crime
On Saturday, two sepa- rate incidents took place in- volving injuries. In one incident one person died as a result of his injuries.
The first incident took place around 5 p.m., in the 8500 block of North 15th Street. Officers with the Tampa Police Department responded to a report of a shooting.
When the officers arrived, they located an adult man who was suffering from upper body trauma. He was transported to Tampa Gen- eral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The second incident took place around 6:30 p.m., near the intersection of 17th Av- enue and 21st Street. When officers arrived they discov- ered an adult man had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Woman Charged With Murder Of Young Son

A 24-year-old Clearwater woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The crime took place on May 24, 2019.
According to police, offi- cers responded to 410 N. Highland Avenue, after re- ceiving a call that an infant was not responsive. When of- ficials arrived, they discov- ered 10-month-old Malachi Jackson in his crib. The in- fant was transported to Mor- ton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the infant’s death remained undeter- mined as detectives contin- ued their investigation. Detectives learned that the mother, identified as Victo- ria Jackson, had allegedly told a friend that she had placed a pillow over the

baby’s face and smothered him.
Detectives contacted Ms. Jackson and she reportedly confessed to the crime during the interview. She was charged with first-degree murder and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Man Arrested For
For Several Car
Several law enforcement agencies are jointly investi- gating an explosion of an ATM machine. The incident took place early Monday in Oldsmar.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an alarm at the BB&T Bank, 3209 Tampa Road, around 3:20 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they discovered that there had been an explosion at the drive-thru ATM, located on
the south side of the building. The case is being investi- gated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Pinellas
County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information pertaining to the crime is asked to contact the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at

has arrested a
man linked to
several car bur-
glaries. He is currently being
held at the Hillsborough County Jail.
Cornelius Eugene Smith, Jr., of Tampa, has been linked to at least five car burglaries. He is reportedly observed committing the crimes on video.
According to police, the first burglary took place Sep- tember 4th, on Morrow Circle, in Brandon. Smith was al- legedly observed on the video breaking into four vehicles.
He was also identified as the suspect breaking into a ve- hicle on Timber Pond Drive on October 11th.
He was charged with five counts of burglary of a vehicle and four counts of petit theft.
A 47-year-old man was ar- rested last week and charged with dumping dangerous ma- terials. The dump site was lo- cated near Foxworth Road and Camden Field Parkway, in Riverview.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, on October 24th, the suspect drove to the wooded area and illegally dumped approxi- mately 300 cubic feet of de- bris. Among the trash dumped were two boxes marked “corrosive,” which contained nine 1-gallon con- tainers of Muriatic Acid. In addition, construction mate- rials, seven 5-gallon buckets of paint, and 15 bags filled with leaves, were also dumped.

Sheriff’s Office Environment Enforcement Unit and mem- bers of Hillsborough County Code Enforcement located the dump site, cleaned it, and launched an investigation.
Deputies developed leads that assisted them in identify- ing Michael Augustin as the suspect. He was arrested on October 25th and charged with felony littering.
