Rugenia Meeks Celebrates 85th Birthday
On August 4, 2021, Rugenia Meeks (affectionately known as "Jean") celebrated her 85th birthday with a small group of family and friends. A luncheon affair was held at Seasons 52 Restaurant on Westshore Boulevard. The honoree and all 26 persons in attendance were blessed by the occasion.
Pictured (from left to right) are some of the honoree's relatives who were in atten- dance: daughter, Deborah Meeks McCullough; son, Attorney Bruce Meeks; the hon- oree Jean Dixon Meeks; her brother, Rev. Willie G. Dixon; and niece, Dr. Cher Pruitt, who also served as mistress of ceremony. (CDC safety guidelines were followed during the event.) The Photographer for the event was Charlize Bey.
