The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. was founded in the winter of 1970 in New York City. Twenty-four black women led by visionary Edna Beach began meeting in their homes to assess the problems and opportunities left behind in the wake of the turbulent 1960s. The vision of the organization is to see black women and girls live in a world where socio-eco- nomic inequality does not exist. The mission is to advo- cate on behalf of women and girls to promote leadership development and gender eq- uity in the areas of health, education and economic em- powerment. http://www.ncb w.org/

She describes herself as a Black Jewish Republican

Yes, she describes herself as a Black Jewish Republican. And, it’s not because Donald Trump is the President of the United States.
“I’ve always been a Repub- lican, always supported and campaigned for Republican candidates, from the Presi- dent on down,” she explains.
Candace W. Meeks says her support of Republicans is gaining notoriety because of the current President. She was in Orlando recently when the President was there. Since then, national major news agencies have reached out to her for interviews.
Ms. Meeks says she knows President Trump personally, and knew him long before he became Presi- dent. She first met him through Boxing Promoter, Donald King.
But, he really won her over in January 2018, when he signed the First Step Act Bill that allowed 3,100 prisoners to be released early from in- carnation. She says, 91% of those were Blacks. “He’s working on prison reform,” she said.
The President, she says is doing and has been doing so much for Blacks. She named: working with Black college presidents; lowering the un- employment rate; returned

the state of Israel back to Jerusalem; and there are a lot of things coming up in a few months, she stated.
According to Ms. Meeks, Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are leading the charge against Republi- cans. “Democrats don’t un- derstand Republicans nor the current President. They haven’t studied their history and how the KKK treated Blacks. They were Democrats. The President never said any- thing racist about Blacks. The Democrats are afraid of what he’ll do for Blacks and Jews. I question the Democrats: ‘how can you hate on someone who’s doing so much for Blacks’.”
With reference to the cur- rent impeachment hearings, Ms. Meeks said, “they’re coming to a dead end. It’s an effort to divide Blacks, Whites and Jews.”
An educator, Ms. Meeks says she has been studying Judaism for a long time. She is a member of the Republic Jewish Coalition.
