Minnesota Judge Denies Request To Remove Executor From Prince’s Estate
Prince Roger Nelson died in 2016 from an accidental overdose, his sister Tyka and half-sister Sharon.
A petition by three of Prince’s six heirs to remove Comerica Bank & Trust as ex- ecutor of his estate has been denied by a Minnesota judge, citing it’s not in the estate’s best interest.
Sharon, Norrine and John Nelson, Prince’s much older half-siblings from his dad’s first marriage , filed the petition for Comer-
ica’s removal after they found out Comerica had moved the recordings in Prince’s vault from Paisley Park to a secure facility in California.
The three other heirs, Tyka, Prince’s only full sib- ling, and his 2 half brothers by his mom, Alfred Jack- son and Omar Baker op- posed removing Comerica.
Carver County District
Judge Kevin Eide rejected the petition on Monday (Dec 18) and instead named re- tired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice James Gilbert to serve as modera- tor and mediator between Comerica and the heirs.
Prince did not leave a will when he died in April 2016 of an accidental over- dose.

The NAACP issued a state-
ment regarding Wofford’s use of racist stereotypes to in- sult and belittle Diddy’s in- terest in purchasing the NFL team.
“Wofford’s (who sadly is Black) comments were an in- sult not only to Mr. Combs, but to all men of color who, despite high levels of achieve- ment and accomplishment, are marginalized according to ugly racist stereotypes.”
Wofford responded with a swift apology saying: "Diddy is a businessman who has the work ethic, success & con- tacts to run an NFL team. My response to @DaryaKRO- NFolsom question was re- garding if he's serious about buying the team. She laughed at my joke. The snippet takes things out of context. Sorry for any misunderstanding."
He later wrote a deeper apology explaining his faults in the matter.
