Steph Curry To Be Re-Evaluated Next Week
STEPHEN CURRY Stephen Curry is making
progress in his return from an ankle injury suffered earlier this month, but he’s not quite ready to return to action.
The Golden State Warriors on Tuesday shared an update on Curry’s status. They say he is progressing and will do on- court work in the coming days, but he will remain out for a week.
The most significant take- away from this news is that Curry will miss the Warriors’ Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Curry has already missed five games with his ankle injury, but Golden State has won all five.
Chris Bosh’s Mom Arrested For Exploiting A Disabled Person, Not Drugs
Chris Bosh’s mom, Freida has been arrested for exploiting a disabled person.
Weeks after Texas police raided her house on suspicion of drug dealing, they have fi- nally arrested and charged Chris Bosh’s estranged mother with a crime.
According to the Texas Ob- server, Freida Bosh and her ex-roommate, Johnathan Brown, were arrested and charged with exploitation of a disabled person.
DeSota authorities claim that Ms. Bosh took on an un- named disabled roommate and let him live with them in ex- change for a portion of his monthly disability check to cover rent for him and Brown. In addition, Bosh is accused of forcing the victim to help Brown sell drugs and police believe that Brown gave Bosh free drugs in exchange for the free rent that the disabled roommate was paying on his behalf.

Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas have ended their beef.
The Hall of Famers had an emotional meeting that was recorded for NBA TV. The rec- onciliation aired Tuesday night as part of the network's "Players Only" series.
Thomas is a studio ana- lyst for the network.
Johnson apologized to Thomas, who broke down while accepting. Magic asked for a hug, and the two men embraced for close to a minute.
The two were very close as young professionals, but the relationship began to sour in the late 1980s as Johnson's Lakers and Thomas' Pistons competed for an NBA champi- onship. It took another hit in the early 1990s after John- son announced he had tested positive for HIV.
Johnson said in a 2009 book he co-authored with Larry Bird that he was told

at the time that Thomas was questioning whether John- son was gay.
Also in 2009, Thomas de- nied in an interview with Sports Illustrated related to the book that he ever ex- pressed doubts about his friend.
"Let me put it to you this way: If he and I were such close friends, if I was ques- tioning his sexuality, then I was questioning mine, too. That's how idiotic it is,'' Thomas told the magazine.

Lakers Retire Both Of Kobe’s Jerseys
Former NBA superstar, Kobe Bryant had both his jerseys retire on Monday night during halftime of the L.A. Lakers game.
Former NBA star Charles Barkley is putting his wallet to action in his home state by donating $1 million dollars to African-American women business owners.
During a segment last- Thursday on TNT’s “Inside The NBA,” Barkley announced his pledge as a tribute to Black women who came out in sig- nificant numbers to secure the win for Democrat Doug Jones in Alabama’s special senatorial election on Tuesday, December 12.
“I’m proud of my people in Alabama, they really stood up this weekend. Alabama, that’s my home. I am pledging $1

“Black women really came out and supported Doug Jones.”
Monday night (12-18-17) at the Staples Center in down- town Los Angeles, Lakers leg- end Kobe Bryant was honored by having both his #8 and #24 jerseys retired and will forever hang on the hal- lowed walls of the building for fans to see going forward.
The tribute came at half- time of the Lakers' Staples Center matchup against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, with Bryant's Numbers 8 and 24 joining other inspirational Laker icons from the team's 70-year history.
Five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant was hailed as the "greatest" Los Angeles Laker of all by fellow legend Magic Johnson in a cere- mony to retire Bryant's jer- sey numbers.
Celebrities, as well as many of the team’s past legends were on hand to give props to Bryant, who retired after the 2015-16 campaign as an 18- time All-Star, a 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player and two- time NBA Finals MVP, two- time NBA scoring champion and two-time Olympic cham- pion.
Twitter Reacts To Kobe Bryant Leaving Own Jersey Retirement Game Early
Kobe Bryant probably would have taken over Mon- day night’s game for the Los Angeles Lakers and led them to a win in overtime if he were still playing, but instead he was forced to watch from the stands.
Fortunately, Kobe didn’t have to witness his former team lose.
Just before the Lakers went to OT against the Golden State Warriors, television an- nouncers mentioned that Bryant had left the Staples Center. That probably had a lot to do with him needing to get his kids home at a reason- able time, but Twitter couldn’t get enough of the fact that Kobe left and the Lakers lost by two.
Of course, Kobe’s early departure came on the night where the Lakers retired both of his jersey numbers. The fu- ture Hall of Famer got shout- outs from all around the sports world on his big night.
Damian Lillard Says Fans Taunted Him With Homophobic Slurs In Minnesota
Damian Lillard was cap- tured on a cell phone video confronting a group of fans outside the Target Center in Minnesota Monday night, and the Portland Trail Blazers star was apparently responding to having anti-gay slurs shouted in his direction.
ESPN’s Chris Haynes re- ported on Tuesday that two in- dividuals shouted homophobic slurs at Lillard as he was walking to the bus following Portland’s 108-107 loss to the Timberwolves. Lil- lard confirmed the report.
“I don’t bother nobody,” he told Haynes. “They were straight disrespectful.”
You can see the videos, which show Lillard trying to

A woman in the area pointed out one of the individ- uals, and the man reportedly apologized. Lillard addressed the incident on Twitter Mon- day night, noting that the per- son who took the video was not the one who shouted the slur.
