According to police, Mau- rice A. Cole, 20, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was in the parking lot of the Bell Apart- ments when he was shot. The suspect shot him and fled the scene.
Investigators identified Rich as the suspect in the shooting and obtained an ar- rest warrant Saturday.

Rich is being held at the Pinellas County jail without bond.
Late Thursday, the Tampa Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and U. S. Marshals Task Force arrested a man in con- nection with a murder. The shooting took place in the 8100 block of N. Mulberry, Wednesday, at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Glennis L. Mays, 24, of Tampa, was located at the Roadway Inn, 6510 North U. S. Highway 301. He was taken into custody at the motel after
he attempted to escape. According to police, Ser- gio Rashad Green, 28, be- came involved in an altercation with a man while in the 8100 block of N. Mul- berry. At some point during the altercation, Green was shot and the suspect fled the
scene before police arrived. During the investigation, po- lice linked Mays to the shoot- ing. The investigation is continuing.
Victor Thomas Claviz- zao, 56, of St. Petersburg, re- cently pleaded guilty to wire fraud. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
According to the plea agreement, Clavizzao, using the name of “Victor Thomas,” opened a series of companies, and represented to others, including a local church, that he had the ability to help them conduct real es- tate transactions.
Clavizzao convinced the church, which was seeking to construct a new building, to give him money. The church members believed that the money they gave to Clavizzao would be used to secure fi- nancing and to handle issues related to their construction project.
Instead of aiding the church, Clavizzao used $16,350 of the church’s funds for his personal benefit.
