Corey “King Cobra” Felton and Lavell Thomas are making waves in the movie industry. Their new movie, What Tha’ Hell, premiered Tuesday, November 23, at Xs- cape Theaters in Riverview.
What Tha’ Hell moments are those moments that shock, surprise, or confuse you be- cause they don’t make sense.
Thomas and his wife, Joycelyn Thomas, founded their production company, Gotcha Film Productions, to tell the stories they felt pas- sionately about. The company is family-owned and operated.
Thomas wrote the script as the world was coming out of the worst of the COVID pan- demic. He wanted to lift the spirits of those around him while sharing some of his own ‘What Tha’ Hell’ stories.
Thomas states that about 80% of the movie is based on his family.
The movie is about a cou-

ple with six children and fol- lows two of them moving out of the house. Their parents warn them that they will have
a lot of ‘What Tha’ Hell’ mo- ments.
Thomas went to his friend King Cobra and brought him in to discuss marketing, and they ended up collaborating on much more.
King Cobra became a producer along with Thomas. Joycelyn Thomas was a director and co-pro- ducer. Both gentlemen stated that she kept the entire pro- duction moving.
It is a family affair. The star of the movie is Devin Thomas, son of the Thomas’. Their three daugh- ters were in movie and another son, Jordan Thomas, worked behind the scenes.
Thomas’ nephew, Jef- frey Adams, is a graduate of LA Film School and edited the movie. Trey Sanders and Toriano Burney also as- sisted with editing and sound.
As filming ended, King Cobra Promotions’ marketing arm took over and found ven- ues including, the Mayweather Gyms to participate.
King Cobra wrote the kickboxing scene and choreo- graphed Olando “The War- rior” Rivera, former international kickboxing champion.

The first will be a reality show featuring social media stars @luvthesanders called Love, the Sanders.
The second venture planned is a spin-off of the movie, titled ‘Kickin’ it with the Turners.’
Next up will be the weekly comedy show that King Cobra describes as “Def Jam on steroids.”
Finally, a reality boxing show is being developed. Cur- rent boxing, MMA, and bare- knuckle fighters will compete.
There will be a lot of be- hind-the-scenes thoughts, fears, pressures of the fighting world. King Cobra will have two professional fighters and two fighters that are training to become professionals.
