MR. LANCE HENRY JAMES, JR.
Mr. Lance Henry James, Jr., of Tampa, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Fu- neral Services will be conducted on Saturday, June 19, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605 with Besstie Moehead, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mr. Lance Henry James, Jr., was a native of Hillsborough County and a resident of Tampa for 22 years. He attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools and was employed at Staiin’s Lawn Care Solutions.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Beulah Lewis, Harold Gamble, Sr., Carrie and Leon Stephens; aunties, Ruth Gamble, Pamela Stephens, Denise Gamble and Eboni Carr; uncles, Calvin Stephens, Forrest Cooper and Derrick Stephens.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: his parents, LaQuanda Stephens and Louis Carr, IV, and Lance James, Sr., and Chanitta Lynwood; loving son, Chance Kentrell James (mother, Ebony); grandparents, Leatha Gamble, Leon Terry Stephens (Jenetta), Maggie God-

MRS. EVORA WYNN PIMENTO
Mrs. Evora Wynn Pimento passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Memorial Services will be con- ducted on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, Tampa, Florida with Reverend Velvet R. Caldwell, officiating.
Mrs. Pimento was born on Feb- ruary 24, 1945, in Tampa. She at- tended Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from Middle- ton High School, Class of 1962. She earned her bachelor’s degree in So- cial Work from Bethune-Cookman College in 1966. Her Social Worker career spanned for over 37 years at various Hillsborough County Public Schools. She retired in 2003 from Cleveland Elementary School.
She was a member of Mt. Sinai AME Zion Church and served there faithfully until her heavenly call.
She was preceded in death by her: parents, Woodrow and Sarah Wynn; grandson, Darrius Fullwood; twin sister, Flora Poitier; sister, Hazel Bozeman; brother, Woodrow Wynn, Jr.; nephew, Joseph Boze- man, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Judge George E. Edgecomb, Joseph Boze- man, Sr., Melvin Pimento and Johnny Hayes, Jr.; mother-in-law, Alma Hayes; and father-in-law, Joseph Pimento.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory and lives in her legacy: devoted husband of 54 years, Alvin C. Pi- mento, Sr.; two daughters, Angela Fullwood (Darrick) and Cherie Pi- mento-Bethune (Brian); stepson, Alvin Pimento, Jr., (Rhonda); nine grandchildren, Darrick Fullwood, Jr., Angelique Fullwood, Bria Davis, Amber Fullwood-Corbett, Alex Pi- mento, Briana Bethune, Brian Bethune, Jr., (Allicia), Brooke Bethune and Brandon Bethune; great-granddaughter, Evin Corbett; sister, Doretha Edgecomb; nieces, Gwendolyn Bates (James), Dianne Kelly (Andrew), Mildred Starks, Sharon Poitier, Allison Edgecomb, Kimberly Poitier and Karla Jackson (Joseph); cousins, Margaret Williams (Clifton, Sr.), Albert Curry, Henrietta Bryant, Carrye Rudd, Odell Stroud, Alice Cunningham, Marvin Sevillian (Madeline) and Michelle Stewart (Ronald); brothers- in-law, Albert Pimento (Pat), Pre- ston Hayes (Deanna), Felton Hayes (Rosharon) and Wendell Hayes; sis- ters-in-law, Cecelia Pimento, Jacqueline Thornton (Terry) and Wanda Torrance (Timothy); and a host of other family and friends.

MR. JOHN JUNIOR REED, SR.
Mr. John Junior Reed, Sr., 78, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021. Memorial Services will be conducted on Sat- urday, June 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, 5001 Cumber- land Drive, Tampa, FL 33617 with Pastor R. A. Polk, Officiating and Reverend Charles Smith, Eulogist. Masks are required. Interment will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 on Monday, June 21 at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Reed was a native of Mon- ticello, Florida, and was educated in the Jefferson County Public School System. He served in the U. S. Army and later worked and re- tired from RC Cola, Tampa, Florida. Mr. Reed was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church, Tampa, Florida.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: 3 sons, John, Jr., Reed (Temeka), Sharn Reed (Joan) and Kendrick Reed; daughter, Kim- berly Reed; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; uncle, Ben- jamin Stewart; a devoted and lov- ing special friend, Florrie Singleton and a host of relatives and friends.

MRS. DEMETRIA ANNETTE GRACE SLATER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Demetria Annette Grace Slater, who transitioned this earthly life on June 4, 2021, will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33606. Masks are re- quired.
Demetria Annette Grace Slater, aka “DeeDee” was born on August 18, 1974, to her par- ents, Alma Jean Robinson and Melvin Grace, Sr.
DeeDee was a native of Or- lando, Florida, and a longtime resident of Tampa Florida. She received her early education in the Orange County Public School System, which led her to pursue a career in the medical field. After many years of working with different institutions, she found a home with Tampa Lakes Health Rehabilitation Center as a Certi- fied Nursing Assistant, where she was able to showcase her nat- ural gift of bringing laughter and love into every setting.
In addition to her love for helping others, she also had an eye for creativity which she transformed into “Your De’Sire Kreations,” specializing in per- sonalized keepsakes and fashion. DeeDee spent her last years being an advocate for Lupus, which provided her the platform to share her journey and encour- age others through her faith in God.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Melvin Grace, Sr., and grandson, Tyrin Rein Brown-Richardson.
Her legacy continues through her husband, Kevin Slater; five children, Travares Richardson, X’avier Allen, John Cole, Jr., Joh’neshia Grace and Ka’Nesha Slater; grandkids, Jor- dyn X’avia Allen, and Harmony Jreu Sarette.
THERE WILL BE NO VISITA- TION OR PUBLIC VIEWING on Friday, June 18.
