R&B Vet Johnny Kemp Found Dead
JOHNNY KEMP
R&B veteran Johnny Kemp, best known for his classic hit "Just Got Paid," was found dead in Jamaica. He was 55.
According to reports, Kemp's body was discovered floating in an ocean in Mon- tego Bay on Thursday morn- ing.
It's currently unclear how his death occurred, but ac- cording to the authorities, Kemp was scheduled to be on a Caribbean cruise associated with the Tom Joyner Morn- ing Show.
Kemp was nominated in 1989 for a Grammy Award for "Just Got Paid" in a category that included Bobby Brown and Luther Vandross. The songwasaNo.1hitonthe U.S. Billboard R&B chart. He's been on the road doing shows.
Monica Has New Look For ‘Code Red’ Album Release

A pending release date for Monica's forthcoming 8th studio album, Code Red, looks to be around the corner.
The veteran R&B singer- songwriter kicks off the buzz around the opus by unveiling her new look via People.
In the new colorful first look image, which sees her rocking a Versace jacket, Monica ditches her signature black hair for a fiery, red, low- crop style.
Monica says that the new fierce look represents where she's currently at in life. "I love that the cover speaks to how I feel as a woman, artist, mother and wife," she ex- plains. "I feel strong, encour- aged and grateful. I also love that it’s fashion forward."
Migos Caught With A Gun, Drugs On College Campus

Sunday night, the trio that form Migos were caught on the campus of Georgia South- ern University with a loaded gun and drugs.
Two members of the At- lanta group, Quavo and Off- set, were arrested backstage after their performance was stopped by campus police. Both Quavo and Offset are now charged with multiple drug and weapon felonies.

Chris Brown is a proud father, and he's sharing his joy with the world.
Last week the Grammy- winning R&B artists took to Instagram and shared some adorable photos of his daugh- ter Royalty. In one image,
Brown and his Princess rock the same red hooded sweat- shirt as they snuggle. He cap- tioned the image with: "God has blessed me with my twin. #ROYALTY." Another photo gives the adorable infant her close up.
Dame Dash And Diddy Meet To Talk Business?

Dame Dash recently claimed Sean “Diddy” Combs was the reason Jay Z and The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Brooklyn’s Finest” was never made into a video, and he ac- cused the Bad Boy head of stealing his ideas.
Apparently, those public allegations has not prevented the two moguls from coming together to discuss business.
In a new video posted to the Hip Hop Motivation YouTube channel, Dame and Diddy are seen meeting. It is not clear what the two men spoke about or if a definite joint venture is on the way. is getting a second stab at having his own show. The radio personality will host eight episodes of a new MTV show called Uncommon Sense, a half-hour comedy talk show that will also fea- ture a panel of funny folks who will address hot topics on social media.
The South Carolina native had his own show once before on MTV 2, Charlamagne & Friends.
There was talk of Tyga also having his own MTV show but it has now been confirmed. The former Young Money rep will be starring in Kingin’ It With Tyga, which will follow him and his friends and they indulge in

their luxury lifestyle while also attempting at stunts that should not be done at home. The first season will have six half-hour episodes. His love life will be off limits, accord- ing to early reports about the show. Tyga’s BFF Chris Brown has reportedly al- ready shot a scene on the show.

Bobby Brown Says Bobbi Kristina ‘Is Awake’
Bobby Brown says daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown “is awake” after spending nearly three months in a coma on life support.
“I can say today Bobbi is awake,” Brown said in a 15- second video clip posted on TMZ that was recorded dur- ing a concert Saturday in Dallas, Texas.
The recording shows the crowd erupting in raucous cheers — nearly drowning out Brown’s more cryptic message. “She’s watching me,” he says.
Bobbi Kristina, 21, is the only child of Brown and late singing legend Whitney Houston. She has been in a medically induced coma since she was found unre- sponsive in a bathtub in her

An alleged friend of the Jackson family is suing Ter- rence Howard, Lee Daniels, “Empire” and oth- ers, claiming the hit show is a carbon copy of his film about his life as a “gangster, pimp and drug dealer.”
Ron Newt, who describes himself as a “known ghetto player” claims he met with Terrence at the Four Seasons hotel a while back and they discussed Ron’s documen- tary, “Bigger than Big.” Ron says Terrence connected to it, and said he wanted to play him in the film. When “Em- pire” debuted to huge ratings, Newt claimed the similarities are more than suspicious.
