Elliott Pyles Honored For 50 Years In Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity
    Tampa native, Elliott Pyles was recently awarded with the 50-year plaque for his service in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. by the members of his current chapter, Tampa Alumni.
Pyles, 71, graduated from Middleton High School in 1966 before going to Ten- nessee State University. On Nov. 22, 1969, Pyles became a member of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. He is currently a Life Mem- ber of the Fraternity.

organization that was going to give back to the commu- nity,” Pyles said. “Kappa has opened a lot of doors for me. I am blessed to be a Kappa.”
Pyles graduated from Tennessee State with a de- gree in Political Science/His- tory and served in the U. S. Army before working in the Florida State Correctional System for 25 years. He also has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Pyles later worked at Memorial Middle School before retiring in 2013.
