Grandparents’ Day Celebrated
Grandparents’ Day was Sunday, September 8, 2019.
Although one of the lesser thought of days, the students, faculty and staff at St. Peter Claver Catholic School recognized the impor- tance of the day. They invited grandparents and commu- nity leaders to join them.
The theme for the pro- gram was “Grandparents Fill
the World With Love.” The Early Childhood 3 and 4- year-olds did a “Grandpar- ents Day” song; the kindergarteners sang the “Florida Alphabet” song; 1st and 2nd graders sang “Every Move;” Bruce Hill and Demetrius Hicks did the “Church” dance; 3rd, 4th and 5th graders made up the Choir and sang, “I’m Avail-
able To You.”
The program continued with the 6th graders doing a poem, “In Many Ways;” Bri- ana Mares and Zion Cooper did a dance, “Won’t He Do It;” 7th graders, Grandparents Memorial; and the 8th graders made up the Baking Class. (Pho- tographs by Frederick Harris)
